1962년, 우크라이나 국경 지역, 사령관 '키릴'과 그의 대원들은 물자 공급을 위해 다리를 건너려는 러시아 군에 맞서 싸운다.대원들의 요청에 따라 '키릴'은 토끼 사냥에 나서고 우연히 '비탈릭'을 만나 그의 집에 초대 받는다. 키릴은 그의 집에서 그의 아내이자 옛 사랑인 '카티아'를 만나게 되고 같이 있던 러시아 군 상관과 같이 식사를 하게 된다.그러던 중, 그의 정체를 알아챈 러시아 대령은 '키릴'을 체포하게 되는데...​
