In 1910, a young laundress leaves her rural home, fleeing from her father's violence. With her, her two sisters and their baby brother. Along the way they try to break free from the past and rediscover a future.

Lucia is a single parent to a child with Asperger's. She has a minimum wage job and a very difficult relationship with her mother, but she thinks she can deal with everything on her own. One day she receives an urgent call from the school: her son hit his head and she needs to pick him up.

Ariel is a middle-class young man, a father of a family, who surprisingly loses his job in the context of a wave of layoffs. Altered and hiding from his family what happened, he escapes his father-in-law's birthday to go to a nightclub, where an old acquaintance offers to be part of a narco business. Ariel accepts, trusting that his participation will be limited, but things go out of control.

Tomás is a teenager whose life, as always happens, changed from one moment to the next. But that present awakens a latent past that must be resolved in order to face the uncertain future.

Three farmers work on a farm in Entre Ríos, a sparsely populated lowland region of Argentina traversed by rivers. Their crops are affected by ‘black frost’ which threatens to destroy their harvest. One day, a young woman appears at their door; blithely and self-assuredly she begins to influence their familiar routines. The bewildered farmers yield to Alejandra’s interventions: she dons Heribertos’ dead wife’s clothes, accompanies Benigno to a greyhound race and wins young Lucas’ friendship. Shortly afterwards, the frost disappears.
