왕상천(황백명 분)은 홍콩 도박계의 유명한 고수. 그를 형님이라 부르며 함께 일하는 동생들이 있으니 소위 (양조위 분)와 임세생(임달화 분) 그리고 엽미미이다. 그들은 항상 도박과 속임수로 돈을 벌곤하지만, 가끔은 좋은 일도 하는 의리의 형제들. 번 돈을 가지고 어떻게 쓸것인가 고민을 하지만 왕형은 항상 자선사업에 기부를 화고 탄식 속에 그들은 또다시 계획을 짠다. 싱가폴에서 왔다는 미망인 미스 소를 속여 돈을 벌기로 하고 음모를 꾸민 소위와 임세생, 엽미미. 그들은 마작을 벌이지만 꺼꾸로 미스 소에게 당하고 만다. 내심 분개한 이들은 왕형을 찾아와 도움을 청하고, 왕형은 묘수를 짜내 미스 소를 골탕먹이지만 이 사건으로 인해 모두들 친해진다. 홍콩의 유명한 졸부 용재천을 속이기로 계획을 세운 왕상천일당은 기상천외한 연극을 꾸미고, 그를 속이는 과정에서 수많은 사건들이 속출한다. 하지만, 그들은 또다시 속임수로 얻은 수입을 자선사업에 기부하고 유유히 축배를 드는데...
