An old lady named Jane, believes she is Tarzan's widow. She wears a leopard skin bathing suit under her black coat when she visits the zoo to talk to the animals, and keeps African mementos in her home. She also has pictures of famous screen incarnations of Tarzan, including Johnny Weissmuller, Lex Barker, etc. up on the walls of her flat, and longs to 'return' to Africa and visit 'Tarzan's tomb'.

Hamburg business man Otto Westermann is also the boss of organized crime in the city. His reign as godfather is in danger, though, as an ambitious Sicilian mafioso enters the fray. A Swiss documentary film maker disguises himself as his brother in law, who got a position as an exchange teacher, to aid his project of making a movie about the current youth.

Baron Siebenzell employs the young forest ranger Thomas Sebald, to stop the bold poachers he's plagued with in his beautiful mountain forests. Most of the men in the village reject and ridicule Thomas because of his job. Nevertheless he falls in love with the mayor's daughter Maria - not knowing, that her father is the poacher's leader.
