The deep friendship between young theater actresses Maria and her Jewish friend Lea gradually starts to break as Marias husband Hans goes from being a young adventurer to a high ranking SS officer. But on that day of the Jewish deportations in Munich, Maria comes to a momentous decision which proves what friendship really means to her. She takes on Leas child Charlotte to save her from being deported to the concentration camp, thereby risking her own life and ultimately loosing Hans. Marias story shows that in the end friendship can triumph over terror and death. The film is inspired by the childhood of Charlotte Knobloch, Vice President of the World Jewish Congress and supports our project.

1945년 봄 연합군의 폭격 후 독일의 저항은 붕괴된다. 나치였던 아버지는 자살하고 어머니가 감옥에 간 뒤 로어는 여동생 리즐, 쌍둥이 남동생 귄터와 위르겐 그리고 막내 페터와 함께 남겨진다. 그들은 살아남기 위해 전쟁의 상흔으로 피폐해진 독일 땅을 가로질러 900km 떨어진 북부지역의 할머니 집으로 가야만 한다. 패배한 조국의 혼돈을 목격하면서 로어는 신비스러운 분위기의 젊은 유태인 난민 토마스를 만난다. 환영 받지 못한 채 토마스는 로어의 가족을 따라가게 되고 로어는 혐오와 열망이 교차하는 미묘한 감정을 느낀다. 유태인인 토마스에 대해 로어는 저항과 편치 못할 친절함을 느끼지만 토마스의 도움을 받아가며 점차적으로 로어와 그녀의 동생들은 가까워진다. 하지만 로어가 토마스를 믿어야 할까? 믿지 않는다면 그녀의 동생들은 어떻게 될까? 그들은 살아남을 수 있을까? 로어는 전쟁 후 황폐화된 현실을 직시하며 사랑, 죄 그리고 용서의 본질에 대해 다시 생각하게 된다.

1913년, 독일의 한 시골마을에서 연쇄적으로 발생하는 기이한 사건들의 근원을 쫓는 영화로 고요하고 평화로운 보이는 작은 마을에서 드러나지 않은 사람들의 추악한 본성과 그것이 어떠한 제재도 없이 되물림 되는 것의 공포가 무엇인지를 보여주는 작품이다. 누군가의 의도적 장치로 동네 의사가 부상을 입는 사건을 시작으로 마을 사람들과 아이들에게 의문의 사건들이 연이어 발생한다. 누가 자행한 짓인지 밝혀지지 않은 사건들은 점차 강도 높게, 연쇄적으로 일어나며 마을 사람들을 공포에 빠뜨린다.

Eternal daydreamer Mel can't wait to quit her sucky catering job and fly to her dream destination: Portugal. Things change when the beautiful Jenny literally crashes into her life when Mel nearly runs her over in her classic BMW. It is love at first sight, however there is just one problem: Jenny mistakenly assumes Mel to be a boy. Despite this, the pair become boyfriend and girlfriend. With Mel attempting to disguise her true gender at every turn, her journey from tomboy to out lesbian is fraught with life-defining dilemmas and sweet surprises.
