This film does not deal with Chernobyl, but rather with the world of Chernobyl, about which we know very little. Eyewitness reports have survived: scientists, teachers, journalists, couples, children... They tell of their old daily lives, then of the catastrophe. Their voices form a long, terrible but necessary supplication which traverses borders and stimulates us to question our status quo.

An unnamed man narrates the downward trajectory of his life from beyond the grave, from delinquency to the string of fateful decisions and foolhardy moves that tied him inextricably to the opiate that was the elusive love of his life.

Antoine and Mathieu walk along a road hoping for a bus that does not arrive. Complicity, revelation, embarrassment... But the road is long and the roles can be reversed.

After the death of his mother, twelve-year-old Martin joins his unknown father in Africa. Newly conceived by this father, who is more worried about the reserve he manages than about his 'new' son, thanks to the friendship between Fofana and Victor, Martin discovers this completely new country and its contradictions. A teen party gone out of control provides the focus of this drama which explores the transitions of youth in a transitional time set in the post-disco, pre-punk, early 1980's. Ariane, a teenager, is rebelling against her father and her boyfriend Pierre. She decides to hold a small party. The party is crashed by a large crowd of rude outsiders who proceed to destroy her home. Afterward, Ariane must face her obsessive neatness.

Mona is the girlfriend of Pierre, who is a member of a rather pathetic rock band in France. Their hero is the singer "Johnny Valentine " who, seeing that Mona is being neglected, decides to make her his own.

Gérald, former champion of motorcycle competitions, after an accident that causes him to lose the use of his right becomes a trainer for young riders. But because he can not make enough money, he takes part in a burglary.

A factory siren sounds, workers punch in, the machinery starts... Aubier makes use of a series of successive pictures to portray the series of events that completes a cycle.

Begins with scenes of nature, in which one hears the sounds of birds and water. The final few minutes of the film focus in on a man laying down in the grass.
