The legendary Space Sheriff Gavan is hired to capture the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. However, Gavan himself is captured by Ashurada, a Zangyack prison chief and descendant of his old enemy Don Horror, and jailed in the worst prison in the universe. The Gokaigers resolve to rescue the sheriff from the prison and join forces with him to fight Ashurada.

외전이라서 내용은 구극장판처럼 원작과는 전혀 상관없는 오리지널 스토리이다. 굳이 원작을 곂쳐보자면 인조인간 편에 셀 게임 이전의 시간대가 제일 유리해보인다. 게다가 이전에 처치한적 있는 프리저, 그리고 원작과 별개의 존재인 타레스, 슬러그, 쿠우라가 고스트 전사로 재등장하며 애니버전에선 브로리도 간접적으로 언급되는 등 아마 구극장판 시리즈와 연결이 되는 듯한 모양.

가까운 미래, 인류는 제3의 에너지 혁명을 가져온 ‘시즈마 드라이브’의 발명에 의해 일찍이 없었던 번영의 시기를 맞이하였다. 어디 하나 쓰이지 않는 곳이 없는 시즈마 드라이브는 인류를 안락한 세상으로 인도하는 듯 했다. 하지만 세계최대의 시즈마 발전소 세인트 아바에가 완성되기 직전 시즈마 드라이브의 개발자 중 한사람인 시즈마 박사가 한 개의 샘플과 함께 국제경찰기구 엑스퍼트들에게 구출되는 일이 발생한다. The movie tells the story of Melos, a Greek country man that gets arrested and accused of conspiracy against the king. He gets three days to travel to his sister's wedding while Selinentius (Selinae), a genius sculptor that Melos just met stays as a hostage. As opposed to Osamu Dazai's original story, Melos is here innocent of the conspiracy accusation.
