정소동 감독의 데뷔작. 땅을 뚫고 솟아오르고, 하늘을 부유하는 인간연 편대와 지축을 울리는 거인 닌자와 같은 무협영화의 상상력은 화면을 사로잡는 완벽한 무술연기와 속도감 있게 공기를 가르는 와이어 액션으로 스크린 속에 생생하게 재현된다. 영화의 마지막 대결이 부산 태종대의 자살바위에서 펼쳐진다. 기림사에 어느날 왜국의 인자들이 침입해 고려의 저명인사들의 이름이 적혀있는 명부책을 복사해 가려다 강검성에게 참패를 당한다. 당시 왜국과 고려의 무사가 십년에 한번씩 시합을 갖는 관례가 기림사와 김후연이 관장하는 성검장에서 있었다. 이 시합차 미아모도가 왜국에서 오고 고려에서는 강검성을 내세운다. 그러나 성검장의 주인 김후연은 성검장을 빛내기 위해 양녀 화심을 내보낼 심산으로 왜국의 밀사들과 야합해 강검성을 없애려고 한다. 그러나 그 음모가 강검성에게 발각된다. 양녀 화심은 의부의 불의를 깨닫고 고민끝에 강검성을 구출하려다 의부의 칼에 맞아 죽는다. 그동안 상종하던 미야모도와 강검성은 무인으로서 양심과 정의감이 투합돼 외국의 밀사를 처치하고 납치되어 가려던 고려의 명사들을 구출한다. 유혈의 회의를 느낀 강검성은 시합을 회피하나 미야모도의 도전으로 두 사람은 결투를 갖는다.

홍금보의 감독 데뷔작. 한자 찧을 '용' 자가 봄 '춘' 자와 비슷하여 춘미육으로도 알려져 있다. 어느 날 상인을 가장한 청인 도적들이 농사를 짓고 산삼을 캐는 일을 하며 사는 마을에 온다. 한편 덕포라는 양민은 5백년 묵은 산삼을 캐어 나라에 바치기로 결심한다. 하지만 이 사실을 눈치 챈 청인도적들이 덕포를 죽이고 산삼을 훔쳐 청나라로 도망친다. 한편 덕포의 어린 아들 춘명은 어머니의 승락을 받고 청나라로 건너간다.

송나라 무예계의 총수인 달마법왕은 범대해를 포함한 제자들과 일본인 가등풍진과 손을 잡고 각 계파의 무술 비법을 탈취해 나가던 중 고려의 무술인 태견의 비법을 알아내기 위해 고진풍을 찾아간다. 고진풍은 제자 최청을 송나라 사찰의 승려인 보진에게 보내고 그들과 싸우다 숨진다. 보진을 찾아간 최청은 달마 패들의 비겁한 수단에 눈을 잃은 보진에게 태견을 전수받지만, 보진은 끝내 그들에게 목숨을 잃는다. 한편 태견의 비법을 소장하고 있는 선광사에 가짜 중 여연을 잠입시키고, 또 가등풍진을 잠입시킨 달마법왕은 승려 보법을 잡아 태견비법과 교환할 것을 요구하나, 최청은 무술 승려들과 강호, 강룡을 대동하고 그들의 무예본부로 쳐들어가 보법을 구출하고 달마와 그들 패들을 격퇴하고 귀국한다.

As the title indicates, Angela and her brother played by Carter Wong fights in a Thai kick boxing tournament. Angela Mao shows her amazing skills in this movie, and she's in her top form. The movie is also beautifully shot, and its quality is a notch or two above similar movies of the era.
