Window on Your Present is Cinqué Lee's first feature film, which he wrote and directed in the late 1980s. The film takes place in a world where color and love do not exist. The people who live in this dreary world have nothing to live for and often end up taking their own lives. However, two unlikely lovers discovery that there is something else that is special that exists outside of their horrid world.

The Flooded Playground is a digitally composed animated fairy tale about a young child who resides in a house which has a darkly disturbing force that oppresses him in body, mind and spirit. The wallpaper torments him, a malevolent wind deters him from eating, and thorned vines erupt in his bedroom. A sudden cataclysm throws him into a craggy wonderland where he wanders into deep forests and through his inner inferno in a quest to mend his damaged spirit. Thematically, this film is concerned with the amorphous fears, covert brutality, yearnings, and magical thinking of childhood, the resiliency of the human spirit, and the meaning of home. Lush visual images depict the emotional complexities of childhood - the combination of helplessness and invincibility, sweetness and brutality, and the edge where lines between the real and the imaginary are blurred.

Shareen and Claire, a lesbian couple living on Staten Island, find themselves ensnared in a vast conspiracy involving a ghost ship of nuclear refuse, ominous television commercials, and deadly cat food.

아틀란타에 있는 '미션 칼리지'는 흑인들만 다니는 학교로 오랜 역사를 자랑한다. 미션 칼리지의 학생 다프(로렌스 피쉬번)는 남아프리카의 재정 지원에 학교 당국이 참여하는 것을 호되게 반대하는 시위의 선두에 선다. 그는 남아프리카의 인종 차별 정책이 종식되어야 한다고 주장하기도 한다. 다프의 사촌 하프-핀트(스파이크 리)역시 미션 칼리지의 학생. 하프-핀트는 엘리트 남학생 클럽인 '감마'에 가입하고 싶어 안달하고 있다. '감마'클럽의 리더 줄리앙(지안카를로 에스포지토)와 다프는 적수 지간이다. 특히 다프는 줄리앙을 몹시 혐오하는데 사실 전에 두 사람은 친구 사이였다. '감마'가 줄리앙을 180도 바꾸어 놓고, 정치의식이 다프를 180도 바꾸어 놓기 전에 말이다. 줄리앙은 '감마'클럽에 들어오고 싶어 하는 하프-핀트에게 짖궂은 장난도 치지만 하프-핀트는 이에 굴하지 않는다. '감마'클럽과 연관되어 있는 여학생 클럽의 학생들은 흑인이지만 비교적 흰 피부를 가졌다. 그리고 다프와 친한 여학생 클럽은 검은 피부의 흑인 학생들이다. 이 두 여학생 클럽 또한 서로 라이벌 관계에 있다. 두 클럽의 리더인 레이첼(키미)과 제인(티샤 켐벨)은 만나기만 하면 으르렁대는 앙숙이다. 다프는 모욕을 당하고도 참는 하프-핀트를 보고 속이 터지지만 그를 위해 줄리앙을 찾아가 하프-핀트를 회원으로 받아 들여 줄 것을 부탁한다. 회원이 되는 통과의식을 치른 하프-핀트는 드디어 고대하던 '감마'클럽의 회원이 되어 줄리앙의 여자 친구였던 제인과 잠자리까지 같이 하게 된다. 학교 댄스파티가 있던 날 각각의 두 집단 간의 대립은 극에 달하고 다프는 모든 학생들에게 '깨어나라'라고 각성의 소리를 외친다.
