Chu (Mickey Chu Kin-Kwan) is a young fellow who's made it big in the business world, and makes headlines when he offers a large reward for a special $1000 bill with a personal inscription on it. The bill is a memento of his adolescent friendship with Ching (Athena Chu) and Ricky (Nicky Wu), who were once the best of friends. The three have since gone their separate ways, but Chu holds onto the bittersweet memories of their youth, when the three were inseparable, and saw only bright futures ahead of them. But misplaced emotions and the painful trials of youth split them apart, and now that Chu has finally made it big, he wants nothing more than to see the three reunited. Will the two respond to his impassioned plea to find them once again?

Young gay men in Hong Kong. Hoi, Fa, and Kau have been friends since Third Form. They're now young gay adults sharing an apartment. Fa, who writes film scripts, has recently been jilted and is heart-broken. Hoi, who works at an ad agency where he's in the closet, is pursued by Fok May, a female colleague. 중국 청조 말기, 조정은 대신들의 부패와 탐욕으로, 백성들은 탐관오리들의 만행으로 인해 더욱더 피페해져 가고 있다. 이때 북쪽 지방에 철마류(철후자: 우영광 분)라는 유명한 의적이 나타나 탐관오리를 털어 불쌍한 백성을 돕는다. 그의 정체는 백초당(百草堂)이란 의원에서 양의원이란 이름으로 가난한 사람의 질병을 치료하고 있는 인물이다. 이 마을 수령인 정지주는 돈으로 관직을 산 탐관오리의 전형적인 인물로, 밤이면 철후자 때문에 불안에 떨면서 그를 잡기 위해 거액의 현상금을 건다. 한편, 불산으로 가던 소년 황비홍(증사민 분)과 그의 부친 황기영(견자단 분)은 약초를 구하기 위해 이 마을을 지나게 되는데, 철후자를 잡기 위해 무고한 사람들을 체포하는 정지주에 의해 무예가 뛰어나다는 이유로 체포된다. 정지주는 그의 아들 황비홍을 옥에 가두고 철후자를 잡아오도록 예기치 않은 임무를 부여한다. 철후자의 유일한 제자가 된 황비홍은 소란의 따뜻한 보살핌에 어려서 잃어버린 모성애를 느낀다. 철후자와 화소란은 조정에서 보낸 감찰사로 위장하여 정지주로부터 많은 곡물을 빼앗아 백성들에게 나눠준다. 한편, 소림사를 불태운 반역자인 염공 스님(연공)은 무예가 뛰어난 인물로, 그 역시 감찰사로 위장하여 관가의 모든 재물을 빼앗고 갖은 행패를 부린다. 그는 다른 한편으로 소림사 제자 출신인 숙적 황기영을 없애기 위해 그를 찾고 있었다. 연공에 의해 철후자와 황기영은 큰 중상을 입게 되고 이 일로 양의원이 철후자임을 알고 그와 함께 행동하게 된다. 두 사람은 힘을 합쳐 황비홍을 납치해 간 연공을 상대로 불 위에서 대격전을 벌인다. 마침내 연공은 불에 타 죽고 황 부자는 길을 떠난다.

After scoring a massive HK$20 million at the box office with the hit comedy Her Fatal Ways in 1990, the golden trio of Tony Leung Ka Fai, Carol Cheng ("Dodo"), and Alfred Cheung returned later that year with another winner in Queen's Bench III. Besides writing, directing, and producing, the talented Alfred Cheung also starred in the courtroom drama as Chang, an aspiring young lawyer who takes on the tricky case of defending for Fai (Tony Leung), a man charged with murdering a girl in the woods. Chang believes that Fai is innocent, but can he save the man and nail the real culprit with the treacherous prosecutor Fang (screen villain Sunny Fang Kang) on the opposing side? Luckily, Chang gets some help from Carrie Ng as a fellow lawyer, Carina Lau as Fai's girlfriend and a witness, and Dodo who makes a cameo appearance as Chang's aunt.
