Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" goes goth in Mari Terashima's screen adaptation of the children's classic. Terashima brings together Goth Loli performance troupe Rose de Reficul et Guiggles, doll maker Mari Shimizu and magician and actor-dwarf Mame Yamada (Blue Spring, 9 Souls) to create a macabre trip down the rabbit hole. The film appears animated, but the gothic characters are as real as can be.

결혼은 늘 꿈꾸게 한다. 잔인하고 건조한 일상에서의 탈출을… 평범한 주부인 아키에는 전화방을 통해 알게 된 연하의 남자 신지와 가끔씩 만나 관계를 갖는다. 서로에 대해 호감이 있으면서도 이들은 더 이상 깊은 관계에 빠지지 않기 위해 자신을 내보이지 않고 말을 아낀다. 아키에의 남편 카즈히코 역시 아키에와 서먹한 관계를 유지하며 외도를 하고 있다. 어느 날 아침, 아키에는 폐품 회수차를 운전하고 있는 신지와 마주치게 된다. 그 날 이후 아키에는 자신도 모르게 매일 그를 기다리게 되고 결국 신지를 자신의 집으로 들이게 된다. 이때, 예정보다 일찍 남편이 집으로 돌아오게 되는데… 여주인공 아키에 역시 아내와 주부라는 역할과 삶 속에서 자신이 숨쉴 수 있는 위험한 안식처를 선택한다. 그녀의 위험한 외도는 그녀를 여자로 만들어주는 유일한 시간이며 삶의 무게에서 해방되는 도피처이다. 이는 아이러니하게도 아내가 남편으로부터 여성으로서 대접받고 사랑 받고 싶어하는 몸부림의 한 단면일지도 모른다. 주인공의 심리가 생생하게 드러나는 날카로운 리얼리즘이 돋보이며 아내, 엄마, 여자, 그리고 부부의 관계성에 진지한 질문을 던지는 이 영화는 2006년 동경에서 열린 러브시네마 쇼케이스 Vol.1에서 상영되어 많은 여성들의 공감을 이끌어 냈다.

하세가와를 비롯한 8명의 죄수들은 형무소 안에서 우연히 쪽문을 발견하고 탈옥을 결심한다. 각기 다른 목표를 가지고 탈옥한 이들은 숨겨진 길을 찾기 위해 후지산 근처의 학교로 향하던 중간에 길을 잃는다. 혼란에 빠진 가운데 길을 찾기 위해 애쓰던 그들은 우여곡절 끝에 학교에 도착한다. 이후 삶에 대한 희망을 가지게 된 그들은 자신들이 잃어버린 것을 찾기 위해 다시 여행을 시작하는데...

This is another masterpiece by Takao Nakano. A sort of mix of Ed Wood and Russ Meyer. The story ? Well, just a sort of parody of the famous manga/anime "Cutie Honey". If you have liked L.E.G.S, if think that this one will give to you a big big moment of pleasure. No english subs ? Really, I assure you that it doesn't matter at all.
