'네가 끝나면 나도 죽을게'라고 말하며 여자를 큰 냉장고 위에 재우고 익숙한듯 채혈 바늘을 양손과 양발에 찌르는 남자. 바늘과 연결 된 긴 관의 끝에는 4개의 병이 있고 그 안으로 여자의 몸에서 빠져나온 피가 쌓여 간다. 그 이후 남자는 도망치듯 창고에서 나오고, 차 트렁크에 놔둔 가방 안에서 피가 든 병을 꺼내 흥분하며 그 피를 마시기 시작한다. 남자의 이름은 사이먼. 알츠하이머에 걸린 어머니를 가진 고등학교 생물교사로, 뱀파이어였다.
