1983년 이탈리아의 투린. 여자 세 명을 죽인 난쟁이 연쇄살인 사건이 발생한다. 공포소설 작가인 난쟁이 빈센조는 그의 소설에 나오는 자장가대로 연쇄사건이 발생한다는 사실 때문에 범인으로 지목된다. 빈센조는 형사 모레티에게 체포되기 직전에 도망을 치고 그 후 강가에서 시체로 발견되어 사람들의 기억에서 잊혀지게 된다. 그로부터 17년이 지난 2000년의 투린에는 또다시 살인이 일어난다. 창녀 안젤라가 손님의 집에서 도망치다 우연히 파란 파일을 겨져오는데 그것이 바로 난쟁이 연쇄살인사건의 증거물이었던 것. 이 때문에 안젤라와 그녀의 친구는 살해당하고 난쟁이 살인사건은 다시 세상에 알려지게 된다. 어린 시절 이 사건으로 어머니를 잃었던 자코모는 친구 로렌조로부터 이 사실을 듣고 투린으로 돌아온다. 그는 은퇴한 모레티와 함께 범인 색출에 나서는데. 이번 살인도 옛날처럼 자장가대로 살인이 진행되고 있었다. 마침내 범인을 알아낸 모레티. 그러나 자코모에게 전화하는 순간 그는 죽음을 맞는다.

Absurdism’s king of comedy, Luigi Pirandello, adapted a 1915 short story he wrote titled “Signora Frola and Signor Ponza, Her Son-in-Law” into a play two years later. Right You Are (If You Think Are) was presented in dramatic form as a “A Parable in Three Acts.” As in any instructive parable, the characterization is put fully into the service of delivering the lesson and thus creates mysteries about motivation that remain unresolved by the conclusion.

The story follows six characters: Il Padre (Romolo Valli), la Figliastra (Rossella Falk), la Madre (Elsa Albani), Il Figlio (Piero Sammataro), la bambina (Patrizia Ponzelli) and Il giovinello(Paolo Figna) that invading a essay by a theater company looking for an author.
