Frank William Dux (born April 6, 1956) is a Canadian-American martial artist, fight choreographer and author. According to Dux, a ninjutsu expert named Senzo Tanaka trained him as a ninja when he was a teenager. He established his own school of ninjutsu called Dux Ryu Ninjutsu, and has said he won a secret martial arts tournament called the Kumite in 1975. His alleged victory at the Kumite served as the inspiration for the 1988 film Bloodsport starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Dux's victory at the Kumite has been disputed, as has the existence of both the Kumite he described and Senzo Tanaka. Dux worked as a fight choreographer for Bloodsport, Lionheart (1990) and Only the Strong (1993). He detailed his alleged work for the CIA in the book The Secret Man in 1996, and that same year co-wrote the story for the film The Quest alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. He sued Van Damme for breach of contract over the film, but lost the suit in 1998. He also lost a lawsuit against Soldier of Fortune for libel the following year, over their claims he had falsified his military and CIA service. 프랑스 외인 부대 병사인 리온(Lyon: 쟝-끌로드 반담)은 형이 중태에 빠져있다는 소식을 듣고 휴가를 신청하자 거절당하고 끝내는 탈영을 하게 된다. 외인 부대에서는 리온을 잡기 위해 추적자를 보내고, 리온은 뉴욕에 도착한 후 여비 마련을 위해 우연히 만난 죠슈아(Joshua: 해리슨 페이지 분)와 지하 주먹 싸움계에 뛰어든다. 혈전을 거듭하면서 돈을 마련한 리온은 죠슈아와 LA로 가지만 형도 이미 숨을 거두고 형수(Helene: 리사 펠리칸 분)는 리온을 오해해 그를 받아들이지 않는다. 그러나 리온은 신시아(Cynthia: 데보라 레나드 분)의 소개로 주먹싸움을 하며 번 돈을 계속 형수에게 익명으로 보낸다. 형수와의 관계를 오해한 신시아는 무적의 아시아 챔피언과의 싸움을 계략적으로 준비해 그를 함정에 빠뜨리려고 하나 리온은 그의 힘과 의지를 다해 시합에서 이긴다. 한편 그를 찾아온 추적자들은 형수와 조카딸을 위하는 리온을 풀어주고 화해를 한다.
