Fang Ying

This 1994 Chinese New Year offering takes place over a period of time between one Christmas and Chinese New Year's eve. As It's a Wonderful Life's Chinese title specifies, its focus is on a "Big Rich Family". We are introduced to thirteen people, learn of their particular dispositions and dilemmas, are witness to the former either getting changed or developed and see the latter (re)solved. Teresa Mo as the daughter just returned from studying in France; Leslie Cheung as the friend who came in tow; Tony Leung Kar Fai as the cartoonist son who can only speak normally when he is anxious; Anita Yuen as the woman who Tony Leung's character falls in love with; Carol "Do Do" Cheng as her flat-chested, disciplinary-cum-art teacher sister; Raymond Wong as the eldest son who cannot handle alcohol well; Petrina Fung Bo Bo as his estranged wife; Sean Lau as the marriage-minded cousin; and Kwan Tak Hing as the eccentric-but-definitely-not-senile grandfather.

철남은 홍콩의 강력계 형사. 그는 최근 남자들만을 대상으로한 잔혹한 연속 살인사건을 맡고 고심 중이다. 그러던 어느날 사건 수사 중 우연히 키티를 만나는데 자유분망한 생활을 즐기는 그녀에게 끌리게 된다. 키티는 늙은 아버지, 젊은 새엄마와 함께 살고있는데 새엄마에게는 소고라는 정부가 있다. 새엄마는 아버지가 없는 틈을 타서 소고를 집안으로 끌어들였다. 아버지에게 이일이 발각되고 분개한 아버지는 소고와 다투다 그만 그의 칼에 찔려 죽게 된다. 귀가길에 피투성이가 된 아버지를 본 키티는 그길로 소고를 찾아가 철저하게 복수를 하고는 인질을 잡고 경찰과 대치하는 상황에 이른다. 그런데 공교롭게도 그녀가 잡은 인질 요마담은 전문 킬러. 결국 요마담의 도움으로 위기를 모면한 키티는 그녀와 함께 기거하게 된다. 졸지에 쫓기는 몸이된 키티는 요마담의 제안대로 어쩔 수 없이 킬러가 되기로 결심. 지문을 지우고 새롭게 변신한 키티. 이제 과거의 키티는 더 이상 이 세상에서 존재하지 않는다. 그러나 마음만은 여전히 순수한 그녀는 우연히 마주친 철남과 주위의 우려를 외면한 채 뜨거운 사이로 발전한다. 한편, 요마담의 수제자이며 잔인한 킬러 프린세스는 요마담을 없애고 조직의 보스가 되려고 홍콩에 잠입. 프린세스는 자신의 계획대로 우선 요마담을 잔인하게 죽이고 키티마저 없애려 하는데...

홍콩의 한 여행사에서 모집한 필리핀 관광단에는 노인부부와 어린손자, 여대생, 호스티스, 뒷골목건달, 청원경찰, 회사원 등 30여 명에 이르렀고 미모의 안내원 온벽하의 인솔로 홍콩을 출발, 즐거운 여행길에 오른다. 필리핀 현지 안내를 맡은 증지위는 홍콩계 필리핀 교포로, 사전에 짜여진 계획에 따라 관광객들에게 즐거움을 한껏 선사하고 있었다. 그러나 즐거움도 한때, 신인민군인 반군들에게 관광버스를 탄채 피납, 그들의 아지트인 어느 밀림속에 감금당하는 신세가 된다. 필리핀 정부군에 체포된 반군의 두목과 교환키 위한 인질인 것이다. 관광객들에게 밀려드는 공포는 가히 상상도 못할 지경이다. 썩은내 나는 음식, 독벌레의 내습, 언제 어떻게 희생될지 모를 일촉즉발의 위기감. 이런 상황 보다는 반군들의 지능적이고 악랄한 공포분위기가 더 무서울 지경이었다. 필리핀과 홍콩정부측에선 인질들을 구출하려고 온갖 노력을 기울이나, 이미 반군 두목이 고문으로 사망한 뒤라 위장교환을 반군들에게 제시할수밖에 없었다. 반군들로부터 "자기 두목과 상호교환키로 합의됐으니 곧 무사히 석방될 것이다"라는 말에 모두는 서로 얼싸안고 기쁨의 눈물을 흘리지만... 그 다음날도, 또 그 다음 날도 석방은 커녕 더이상의 잔인한 방법만이 동원되며, 여대생 한명과 그의 남자 친구가 살해 되고 만다. 또 권총에 실탄 한발만을 장진하고 자기들끼리 돌아가면서 쏘라는 식의 최악의 방법까지 동원되기에 이른다. 오직 살수있는 길이란 탈출밖에 없다는 결론에 도달한 관광객들은 기회를 포착, 위험천만의 탈출극을 전개한다. 잇달은 아슬아슬한 고비를 넘기며 안전지대를 향해 피신해 가지만 너무많은 희생에 일행의 슬픔은 갈수록 더해만 간다. 즐거워야할 관광이 피비린내 나는 전장의 도가니가 될줄이야. 결국 30여 명의 관광객 중 살아남은 사람은 불과 5-6명 정도에 불과했으니.

A bungling gang of criminal mercenaries arrives from the Chinese mainland on a mission for a mysterious evil mastermind, only to discover that their shady new employer has set them all up for a fall.

He polishes mirrors as a pretext to get closer to his love, who signals her approval by tossing him a bunch of lichees. From that point on the course of true love proves operatically rocky, complete with murder and suicide.

Helmed by Chow Sze-loke and written by Chang Cheh, the story revolved around two intellectual siblings, Ching Feng-sheng (Chin Feng) and Ching Feng-hsiao (Ivy Ling Po), who were constantly abused by their stepmother Hsia (Kao Pao-shu). Feng-hsiao was engaged to Li Ru-lung (Chin Han) since birth, but the greedy Hsia forced him to forfeit the marriage. When Ru-lung refused, Hsia framed him for thievery and put him behind bars. To rescue her lover, Feng-hsiao dressed as a young man and went to the capital. She then used Ru-lung's name to enter the national exam and was ranked first place.
