Alison Bagnall is an American director, writer and producer. Before collaborating with Vincent Gallo on Buffalo '66 (1998), Alison wrote and directed numerous short films, including One Night Stand starring Pasolini's leading man, actor Franco Citti featured at the Florence International Festival of Independent Cinema and Love Perfect, which screened at festivals at Bellaria and Torino, Italy; in Annecy, France, and was bought by Italian television for broadcast. Alison is a graduate of Yale University, where she studied Humanities, along with theater and directing. After Yale, she was a directing fellow at the American Film Institute where she made three short films. While at AFI, she also directed an episode of 'Femmes" for the French television channel M6. After Buffalo '66, Ms. Bagnall joined up with another actor/writer Savannah Haske for her next project. That project became Piggie (2003), which was shot on location in Delaware County in upstate New York. In 2011 she directed and wrote The Dish & the Spoon , starring Greta Gerwig and in 2015 another film called Funny Bunny.

Screenplay

Gene spends his days canvassing about childhood obesity. One day he canvasses Titty, an emotionally-arrested 19-year-old who has successfully sued his own father to win back a large inheritance and gotten himself disowned in the process. Gene discovers that Titty has an ongoing online relationship with the beautiful but reclusive Ginger, who is an animal activist. Gene convinces Titty to make a pilgrimage to meet Ginger where the two men form a close bond despite both of them being drawn to the enigmatic Ginger, who is in need of rescue.

5년 전 빌리는 만불짜리 내기를 했다가 지는 바람에 같은 편에 내기를 걸었던 사람들 대신 감옥에 가게 된다. 5년 동안이나 죄도 없이 형기를 마친 빌리. 이제 자신을 감옥으로 가게 했던 스코트에게 복수를 결심한다.출소를 하자마자 집에전화를 건 빌리는 감옥에 갔던 사실을 감추고, 전화로 이야기 했던 약혼자 웬디를 대신할 여자를 구해야 한다. 그래야 깜쪽같이 거짓말이 성립되는 것. 하는 수 없이 근처 클럽에서 댄서로 일하는 라일라를 발견하고 그녀를 강제로 차에 밀어 넣는다. 라일라에게 거짓 신부 역할을 하지 않으면 죽여버리겠다고 협박하는 빌리에게 묘한 매력을 느끼는 라일라. 가족과 함께 시간을 보내는 두 사람. 가족들은 빌리에게 신경을 쓰지 않는 것 같으면서도 라일라를 가족의 일원으로 받아들인다. 떠나기 전날, 빌리의 엄마의 설득으로 함께 욕실에 들어간 두 사람은 멋진 하룻밤을 보내고 사랑이 삭트기 시작한다. 하지만 빌리는 스코트에게 복수를 해야하는 시간이 다가오고, 또 라일라를 떠나보내기도 싫은데.
