Valsø Henrik Holm var søn af arbejdsmand Charles Holm. Han var bankelev i Handelsbanken og efter nogle år som bankmand læste han til skuespiller hos Vilhelm Rosenberg og gennemgik Det kgl. Teaters elevskole 1927-1929. Han debuterede på Det kgl. Teater i 1929 som Esben i "Den Vægelsindede". Allerede 2 år forinden havde han været med i stumfilmen "Her kommer vi med fuld musik". Det var en Fy og Bi film, hvor han var stand-in for Bi. Han spillede fra 1931 talrige store og mindre roller på flertallet af de københavnske privatteatre og blev også kendt i provinsen. Han havde bl.a. faste engagementer på Det Kongelige Teater, Dagmarteatret, Riddersalen, Nørrebros Teater, Det Ny Teater og Folketeatret. Han havde titelrollen i Jeppe på Bjerget" på Andelsteatret og var i en årrække fast medvirkende i "Nøddebo Præstegaard". Han optrådte også som visesanger og fik betydelige successer på forskellige af de større varieteer og kabaretter. Han blev meget anvendt i Radioteatret. Mest kendt blev han dog nok på grund af sine mange roller i film og senere også tv. Valsø Holm oversatte en række engelske og amerikanske kriminalromaner. Valsø Holm kom en del hos kollegaen lbrecht Schmidt og forelskede sig i kollegaens husbestyrerinde Ester Jønsson, som han giftede sig med i 1937.

Thanks to his bag of game tricks, Freddy manages to avoid being done in by Kolick, a killer for Dr. Pax. Freddy falls for Sonja, and he, she and Smith are taken as prisoners to Dr. Pax's hideout, a remote island fortress from which a major power is to be attacked by missiles guided by trained pigeons. Freddy manages to teach Dr. Pax a lasting lesson in the difference between trained pigeons and homing pigeons.

Ved et tilfælde mødes Thorsen og Olsen og snart drikker de dus. Thorsen slæber ud på natten mælkemandens hest med hjem i lejligheden. Skandalen er en realitet. The protagonist is a jovial bus driver, well beloved by his passengers, essentially the whole community around him. The bus, however, is old, and needs to be replaced. The bus driver himself is also needed as a handyman for all the people around him, assisting with stray cattle, household machines, children's homework, errands of all kinds, and at one occasion, assisting birth. Progress is however leaving him behind, and the local county council plots on a solution, involving a new bus and driver. The community revolts, and the local midwife (married to the mayor) intervenes with all the locals to keep the bus driver, who ends up keeping his job in a new bus.

A creditor is dogging them, when a sudden bequest gives them some breathing-space. They buy an old house in a small village, where living is cheaper than in Copenhagen. The villagers are distrustful towards the newcomers. After a while the baker, the butcher and the grocer won't give Poeten and Lillemor credit anymore. Also the old creditor is back dogging them. Should Poeten renounce his high poetical standards and write simple verses for popular music, to get money?

They have five children and it is often difficult to meet daily expenses. Nielsen has bought a building site outside the city, it is his dream to once again be able to exchange the narrow apartment with his own house.

Now Ditte must take care of three new sisters and brothers but gets nothing but complaints from her ungrateful, selfish mother. But the little girl finds consolation and support in both her sisters and brothers and Lars Petter.

Barista
A really nice mood bomb from Danish films golden age in the comedy genre! Peter Malberg is the somewhat goofy - but very much in love author Peter Strøm. He has fallen for the publisher's daughter, Else Fischer (played by one of the 30s biggest divas, Gull-Maj Norin). The same has just happened to the bright journalist Fritz Faber, who also intends to fight for the young Else. Naturally, this creates the classic intricacy and it all happens on board the Great America-steamer.
