Twenty years after the American people have been told the oil has run out and disease has scared them into complacency, the United States has become a fascist state. One man, former race car driver Franklyn Hart, now a puppet spokesman for public transportation, rebuilds his race car and sets off to California from Boston where people have returned to living life like they were twenty years prior.

여학생 기숙사에 신음소리를 내는 장난전화가 꾸준히 걸려오기 시작한다. 어느 날, 똑같이 걸려온 장난 전화에 지쳐 욕을 해버리자, 변태는 돌변하여 "널 죽일 것"이라 경고한다. 그 후 기숙사에는 의문의 실종 사건이 생기고, 방학이라 기숙사에 혼자 남은 '제스'(올리비아 핫세)는 변태의 전화를 다시 받게 된다.
Story
Fashion model Sarah Cornell, from the front car of a subway, witnesses a man pushing a woman onto the tracks to her death. Hoping to dispel the presumption that the woman committed suicide, Sarah contacts the police. But when they arrive to take her statement, she recognizes one of the detectives as the killer. Can she get anyone to believe her before she becomes his next victim?
A highly imaginative boy involves his friends in a series of false alarms, with the result that nobody will come to his aid when he is involved in a dangerous situation.
