소심한 열두 살 소녀 밀리아는 타지에 위치한 고등학교에 진학하기 위해 시골 고향 마을을 곧 떠날 예정이다. 새롭고 낯선 환경 속에서 이리저리 휩쓸리면서도, 그녀 나름대로는 청소년기의 부조리와 불쾌함, 소소한 성취감 등을 느끼며 열심히 적응해나간다. 가끔 이상해 보일 때도 있지만 말이다. 그러던 와중에 근처 원주민보호구역에 살고 있는 외부인인 원주민 소년 지미와 친분을 쌓는다. 밀리아는 지미의 도움으로 마음을 굳게 다잡고 스스로의 정체성을 받아들이기로 한다.

In October 1970, one group from the same organization kidnapped the British Consul in Montreal. A few days later, a second group kidnapped Pierre Laporte, a minister of the Quebec Governement. The film tells the story of this last terrorist cell which ended in the death of its hostage.
