Hiyoko Madam geisha
The film stars two of Itami's regular actors, Nobuko Miyamoto as a geisha who brings luck to the men with whom she sleeps, and Masahiko Tsugawa as her unfaithful, sometimes partner. As well as showing her relationships with the man she loves and the men who employ her, it satirizes corruption and the influence of money in Japanese politics.
Kazama Shige (Aunt of Shinji)
1944년. 도쿄 공습을 피해 토야마富山 친척집에 혼자 피난 내려온 신지는, 시골 학교에서 낯선 생활에 적응해야 한다. 신지가 들어간 5학년 남자반은 다케시라는 급장이 확실하게 권력을 휘두르고 있다. 다른 아이들보다 머리 하나는 더 크고 힘쎈 다케시의 횡포에 아이들은 꼼짝 못하고, 신지는 그런 다케시에게 저항을 시도해 보지만 곧 눈물을 흘리며 다케시가 원하는 것을 뭐든지 해주는 처지에 빠진다.
Onatsu
Utamaro was an artist who lived in Edo (which was later to become modern-day Tokyo) in the late 18th century. This film, which has a complex and wide-ranging storyline, recreates the world of that time, as it appeared in Utamaro's paintings.
