대학생인 티비, 카르멘, 브리짓 그리고 레나는 같은 마을 출신으로 어려서부터 친하게 지낸 사이다. 각자 다른 대학에 진학한 그들은 청바지를 돌려 입으며 계속해서 우정을 나눈다. 그러나 네 사람의 삶은 점점 달라지고, 새로운 삶에 적응하려 애쓰는 사이에 이들은 점점 서로에게서 멀어지게 된다. 티비는 남자친구인 브라이언과의 사이가 가까워짐에 따라 불안감을 느끼고 그에게서 거리를 두려 한다. 카르멘은 엉겁결에 연극에서 주연을 맡게 되고, 상대역 배우에게 호감을 느낀다. 브리짓은 터키에서 열린 고고학 캠프에 갔다가 죽은 어머니의 기억을 떠올리게 되고 오랫동안 만나지 못한 외할머니를 방문한다. 레나는 옛 남자친구인 코스타스와 헤어져 미대에 진학하고, 그곳에서 새로운 연인을 발견하지만 코스타스를 잊지 못한다. 이렇게 바쁜 삶을 사는 동안 청바지는 천덕꾸러기가 되고, 네 사람은 청바지의 능력을 의심하며 서로 다투게 된다. 이때 청바지가 분실되는 사건이 발생하는데... 과연 네 사람은 이에 어떻게 대처할 것인가? 색다른 개성을 지닌 네 소녀의 왁자지껄한 우정과 젊음이 화면 가득 펼쳐진다.
