23세기 지구는 빈익빈부익부 현상의 심화와 우주 개발의 본격화로 자원이 부족해지게 되고 이를 해결하기 위해 우주 행성을 탐사하며 광물 자원을 채집한다. 우주 행성을 탐사하기 위해서는 ‘에이펙스’라는 장치를 자신의 신경계에 장착 시켜 프로그램을 가동시켜야 한다. 세계 최고 연봉과 그 이상의 위험성을 가진 직업인 우주 전투 탐사자로 선발된 카마이클(다니엘 맥퍼슨 扮)은 승선 대기 중 예상치 못한 사고로 인해 은하계에서 가장 먼 곳에 위치한 고위험 광물 행성인 ‘인피니’로 이동된다. 카마이클이 생존해 있음을 확인한 우주 수색 구조대는 그를 구출하기 위해 인피니로 향하게 되고 그곳에 도착한 그들은 의문의 바이러스와 괴생명체들과 마주하며 끔찍한 상황에 놓이게 되는데…

One American sub located in the Pacific has survived and is met with disdain by the Australians. The calculations of Australia's most renowned scientist says the country is doomed. However, one of his rivals says that he is wrong. He believes that a 1000 people can be relocated to the northern hemisphere, where his assumptions indicate the radiation levels may be lower. The American Captain is asked to take a mission to the north to determine which scientist is right.
