여름 방학을 맞아 아일랜드의 무인도로 홀로 캠프를 떠나는 17살의 줄리안은 아무도 없는 외딴 섬에서 카운슬러로 그녀만의 캠프를 시작한다. 도착한 작은 섬에서 자꾸만 느껴지는 인기척, 그리고 풀숲에 나뒹굴고 있는 기이한 인형까지.. 아무도 없다고 생각했던 무인도에서 뭔가 불길한 기운을 느끼는 그녀. 하지만 그것은 줄리안의 캠프를 몰래 따라온 친구의 장난이었고 줄리안은 다시 안심한다. 하지만 안심한 순간, 피투성이가 되어 나타난 줄리안의 친구. 줄리안은 자신들을 노리는 누군가가 이 섬에 있다는 것을 알게 된다. 도망치려 할수록 마주하게 되는 진실과 그 섬에서 죽어 간 또 다른 소녀. 그리고 서서히 밝혀지는 비밀. 그들은 왜 그녀를 죽이려고 하는 것인가?

‘캣(Kat)’은 ‘빅 알(Big Al)’에 대해 이야기한다. 이름처럼 엄청난 남자인 ‘빅 알’은 결국 잠자리에서 끝내주는 자신의 남자친구이다. 다른 사람들은 ‘캣’에 대해 이야기한다. 시한폭탄 같은 무서운 아이, 하지만 매혹적인 외모를 지닌 미워할 수 없는 악녀이다. 캣과 알은 불법으로 총기를 판매하며 살고 있다. 캣의 레즈비언 친구 빅(Vic)은 알의 폭력성과 암울한 미래를 걱정하며 캣에게서 알을 떼어내려고 한다. 알의 동료이자 캣의 또 다른 남자친구 라일리(Reilly)도 캣을 도와주려 한다. 그러던 어느날 캣이 총기를 판매한 호세와 술집에서 마주치는 모습을 본 알이 캣에게 한눈 팔았다며 극심한 폭행을 가한다. 만신창이가 된 캣에게 빅과 라일리는 고소를 하거나 제거하라고 충고한다. 캣은 변호사 리즈(Liz)를 만나 대화하면서 알을 떠날 방법을 모색하기 시작하는데…

아름다운 여인 그레이스 미첼. 그녀가 잠든 사이, 존 오닐은 의자에서 수갑을 찬 채 올가미를 목에 걸고 공포에 질려 사지를 비틀어대고 있다. 다음날 시체를 살펴보던 루즈 형사는 자살이 아님을 알아채고, 그레이스를 의심한다. 그리고 루즈는 그레이스에게 안전과 수사 협조를 위해 거처를 옮길 것을 요구한다. 한편 시체를 옮기는 중에 피해자의 구두 바닥에 쓰여진 단어와 일주일 전 그에게 실시간으로 행맨이라는 게임을 할 것을 요구하는 이메일 등의 단서가 발견된다. 바로 살인자는 게임을 원하고 있는 것이다.
