가뭄이 극심하여 농부들도 떠나버린 황량한 미국의 어느 마을. 어느날 그곳에 이안(Ian: 브렌단 휴스 분)이라는 영국인 청년이 나타난다. 일자리를 찾고 있던 그에게 듀이(Dewey: 제레드 바클레이 분) 목사는 교회 보수 공사를 도와줄 것을 제의한다. 이안의 성실한 모습에 듀이와 그의 딸 리즈 뿐만 아니라 마을사람들도 그를 좋아하게 된다. 그러던 중 마을에 하커 소유의 서커스단이 들어오고 이안은 걱정에 휩싸인다. 사실, 이안은 보름달이 뜨면 늑대로 변하는 늑대 인간이었고, 하커(Harker: 브루스 페인 분)와의 사이에 어떤 비밀이 있었던 것이다. 한편 하커는 괴물같은 사람들을 모아놓고 서커스를 벌여 수입을 올리는 흡혈귀였다. 그러던 어느날 보름달이 뜨자 이안은 늑대로 변하고 하커는 그를 잡아 서커스에 이용하려 가두어 놓는데...

Based on a true story, this film depicts the life of Ted Bundy, the serial killer. In 1974, after having murdered several young women, he leaves Seattle for Utah, where he is a law student and where other girls disappear. It takes the cooperation of a number of police forces to work efficiently on this case. Soon, but not soon enough, the police eliminate endless possibilities and close in on him. Bundy is tried in the media and his good-boy attitude brings him sympathy but also the hatred of many.

토요일 밤 9시 극장 뒤편 주차장에서 라이벌 그룹의 리더 파코(Paco Moreno: 에사이 모라레스 분)가 다량의 마약을 흑인에게 팔아넘긴다는 정보를 입수한 믹(Mick O'Brien: 숀 펜 분)은 현금을 빼앗기 위해 즉각 권총을 구입한다. 범행이 진행되는 줄도 모르고 끔찍히 믹을 사랑하는 동급생 애인 J.C.(J.C. Walenski: 알리 쉬디 분). 믹은 체포 수감되고 상상을 초월한 형무소 생활이 시작된다. 그곳에서 믹은 지도원의 도움으로 자신의 삶을 되찾기 위해 노력하는데, 한편 믹에 의해 차에 치어 동생을 잃은 파코는 복수를 위해 J.C를 폭행하고 이 사실을 안 믹은 끓어오르는 분노를 참지 못한다. 결국 파코 역시 같은 수감원에 들어오면서 둘 사이엔 폭발직전의 신경전이 벌어지고, 믹은 소년원에서 나가기 위해 더이상 문제를 일으키지 않으려고 파코의 의도적인 시비를 참아 넘긴다. 그러던 중 파코는 다른 소년원으로 이감되게 되자, 이송 전날 감독관을 가두고 믹에게 덤벼든다. 믹 역시 자신의 목숨을 구하기 위해 필사적으로 달려드는 파코와 마지막 한판승을 벌이는데...
