A prostitute (Evdokia) meets a sergeant (Yorgos). They fall in love and get married after a short love affair. Her profession, however, is a barrier for their relationship. They try to stay together and overcome their inner conflicts, but the social environment crushes them.

A surgeon discovers that he can restore the beauty to his girlfriend's scarred face by murdering other women and extracting fluids from their pituitary gland. However, the effects only last for a short time, so he has to kill more and more women. It is ultimately a killing spree which ends with considerable death and disaster.

어느 날 케냐의 빨래터에서 사자 한 마리가 나타나 빨래하던 여인을 덮쳐 죽인 후 도망치는 사건이 발생한다. 아프리카 케냐 국립공원의 야생동물 관리국장인 조지 애덤슨은 사람들과 함께 이 식인사자를 없애러 나섰다가 사자를 사살한 뒤 새끼 사자 세 마리를 데리고 집으로 돌아온다. 그러나 사자새끼들이 우유도 먹지 못하고 굶주려있는 상태. 애덤슨 부부는 손가락에 우유를 묻혀 먹이는 방법으로 고아가 된 새끼사자들을 살려낸다. 조지의 아내 조이는 ‘엘자’라고 불리는 막내 사자와 정이 든다. 하지만 새끼 사자들이 성장해서 맹수 특유의 야성을 조금씩 보이기 시작하면서 더 이상 집에서 키울 수 없게 되자, 엘자를 제외한 두 마리는 동물원에 보낸다. 애덤슨 부부는 엘자와 함께 여행도 다니고 휴가도 보내며 가족처럼 지내지만 발정기가 찾아온 엘자를 계속 집에서 키우는 건 무리였다. 조이는 엘자를 자연의 품으로 돌려보내기로 하고 남편과 함께 엘자를 훈련시키기 시작한다. 하지만 엘자는 지금껏 먹이를 자기 힘으로 한 번도 구해본 적이 없고 애완동물처럼 사람의 손에 길들여진 상태. 사냥은커녕 새끼멧돼지 한 마리조차 잡지 못하고 쫓겨 다니는가 하면, 다른 사자들에게 공격당하기도 한다. 하지만 애덤슨 부부는 손쉽게 동물원을 선택하지 않았고 끝까지 엘자에게 기회를 주며 야생의 길을 터주려고 노력하는데...
