During a layover in Albuquerque, work colleagues Les and Natalie discover more about each other than they ever thought possible. Anxious and irritable, Les is drawn back into the city by past experiences he can’t forget (even if he doesn't really remember the particulars of his previous drunken adventure). Natalie, refusing to leave his side, follows along as her own secrets are slowly revealed, leaving her feeling both vulnerable and unbound.

사막에 인접한 뉴멕시코 시티, 인적 드문 곳에서 심각한 총상을 입은 남자가 발견된다. 하지만 가해자의 흔적은 어디에서도 드러나지 않고 피해를 당한 남자 역시 깨어날 기미를 보이지 않는다. 며칠이 지난 후, 깨어날 가망성이 없다는 의사의 소견과 달리 피해자는 회복되지만 기억을 완전히 잃은 상태이다. 자신의 이름은 커녕 이 곳에 오게 된 경위나 총상을 입던 때의 기억마저도 모조리 잃어버린 그이지만 머리 속을 떠나지 않는 기억 하나가 있다. 그것은 바로 이곳에서 미대통령의 암살 계획이 세워지고 있다는 사실이다. 남자는 보안관에게 이 사실을 알리지만 그는 이 작은 마을에 대통령이 머물 가능성은 0%에 가깝다며 웃어넘기고 만다. 또한 국가 안보국에서 나온 요원들 역시 자신의 이름조차 기억하지 못하는 이의 말을 믿는다는 것이 불가능한 일이라며 돌아가버리고 만다. 하지만 짧고 불분명한 기억의 단편들은 끊임없이 남자를 괴롭히고 그는 이제 자신의 기억의 흔적들을 찾아 도시를 방황하기 시작한다.기억을 찾아가는 위험한 여정…기억 속에 서서히 드러나는 놀라운 비밀!그런 남자의 주변에 정체를 알 수 없는 인물들이 서서히 나타나기 시작한다.
