The Smog of the Sea chronicles a 1-week journey through the remote waters of the Sargasso Sea. Marine scientist Marcus Eriksen invited onboard an unusual crew to help him study the sea: renowned surfers Keith & Dan Malloy, musician Jack Johnson, spearfisher woman Kimi Werner, and bodysurfer Mark Cunningham become citizen scientists on a mission to assess the fate of plastics in the world’s oceans. After years of hearing about the famous “garbage patches” in the ocean’s gyres, the crew is stunned to learn that the patches are a myth: the waters stretching to the horizon are clear blue, with no islands of trash in sight. But as the crew sieves the water and sorts through their haul, a more disturbing reality sets in: a fog of microplastics permeates the world’s oceans, trillions of nearly invisible plastic shards making their way up the marine food chain. You can clean up a garbage patch, but how do you stop a fog?

En Concert is a live album by singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, project released in the U.S. in late 2009. All songs on the album were recorded live during the "Sleep Through the Static World Tour" in 2008 where 100% of the tour profits and profits from this release will be going to fund the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation to support environmental, art, and music education around the world.

In 2007 the legendary American duo White Stripes toured Canada. Besides playing the usual venues they challenged themselves and played in buses, cafés and for Indian tribal elders. Music video director Emmett Malloy followed the band and managed to capture both the special tour, extraordinary concert versions of the band's minimalist, raw, blues-inspired rock songs and the special relationship between the extroverted Jack White and the introspective Meg White - a formerly married couple who for a long time claimed to be siblings. The film makes striking use of the band's concert colors: red, white and black.

Shot on 16mm, the film spans generations and styles in search of the common thread that makes them the best. September Sessions documents this trip with interviews and 16mm footage of life on a once in a lifetime surftrip.

불마운틴은 자연의 냄새가 듬뿍 묻어나는 스키장이다. 시설이 낡고, 곤돌라는 문도 잘 열리지 않지만, 릭, 루크, 앤소니, 픽펜 등은 불마운틴을 사랑한다. 이곳에서 그들은 일할 수 있고, 신나게 스노우보딩을 즐길 수 있고, 바보같지만 뜨거운 파티를 즐길 수 있으며, 무엇보다 따뜻한 삶을 누릴 수 있었다.
그러나, 불마운틴에도 개발의 바람이 불어닥친다. 불마운틴의 개척자이자 소유자였던 파파 먼츠가 죽자, 그 아들이 이 곳을 스키리조트 업자 존 메이저에게 팔아넘기기로 한 것. 사업가의 돈냄새를 폴폴 풍기는 메이저는 웬지 비위에 거슬리지만, 슈퍼모델 뺨치는 미모와 각선미를 소유한 그의 딸 잉가 때문에, 릭과 그의 친구들은 이러한 일련의 변화를 환영한다. 이렇게 멋진 걸들이 몰려들기만 한다면야 리조트 개발은 무조건 OK! 그런데 문제가 생겼다. 멋진 걸들이 몰려오는 대신, 이곳의 터줏대감이나 마찬가지였던 자신들은 쫓겨나야하는 처지가 된 것이다. 존 메이저의 눈에는 점잖치 못하고, 촌스런 그들이 영 거슬렸다. 말끔한 유니폼 차림의 청년들로 스키장을 채우고픈 메이저는 릭 하나만을 남겨놓은 채, 나머지 친구들에게는 모두 해고를 선언한다. 리조트의 간판도 불마운틴에서 스노우누크로 바꿔 단다.
