Ever since he was a child, Lee Chi-kin has been determined to become a police officer, despite the fact that he comes from a family of criminals. The corrupt director of a mental hospital places Lee in the mental hospital for a year, during which time he develops mental disorders. After being discharged from the hospital, he becomes a restaurant waiter.

Years ago, a village head in the Hong Kong countryside executed a man for committing adultery by drowning him in the ocean. However, Hsiao-Ming is unaware that the ghost of the mistress, having risen out of her muddy grave, fell in love with him and will see to it that no other person falls for him.

뛰어난 무술과 정의심에 가득찬 해경 소속의 마여룡(성룡 분)은 'PROJECT A'의 성공적인 임무완수로 해적들을 모두 소탕하였으나, 해적 무리들의 일부 생존자들이 해적 두목의 복수를 위해 홍콩에 잠입하게 된다. 해적들이 소탕되자 이제 홍콩에서는 내륙 치안의 문제가 발생하여 각 지역에 암흑가 조직들이 활개를 치고 경찰들의 비리가 만연하게 되어, 정부에서는 내륙치안의 안정을 위해 해경 소속 마여룡을 최대의 치안부재 지역인 '서구'의 경찰서장으로 내정한다. 서구 경찰서의 비리를 몸소 체험한 마여룡은 단 4명의 부하만을 이끌고 암흑가 최대의 조직인 구심호 일파를 체포하기 위해 '보록객잔'으로 뛰어들게 되나, 중과부적이라 수세에 몰린 마여룡은 전임대장인 해경의 지대장의 원조에 힘입어 구심호 일당을 소탕하게 된다. 마여룡의 행적에 불만을 품고 그를 없애기 위한 음모를 꾸미는 진삼환은 청국의 반기를 들고 사업을 하는 혁명군들을 속여 총독 딸의 생일 파티때 다이아 목걸이를 훔친 후 마여룡에게 누명을 씌운다. 마여룡은 자신의 누명을 풀기 위해 추적하는 과정에서 혁명군과 청국사신들과의 관계, 그리고 진삼환이 금전에 눈이 어두워 혁명군의 비밀장부를 청국에 넘기려하는 사실들을 알게 되고, 결국, 죽음을 무릅쓰고 혁명군을 도와 청국의 사신들과 매국노 진삼환을 체포하기 위한 사투를 벌인다.

주윤발은 증지위, 진백상과 함께 풍사장의 공장에서 자동차 수리공으로 일한다. 윤발은 애인으로부터 생일 파티에 초대를 받아 청혼할 기회를 갖지만 친구들의 실수 연발로 청혼을 거절당한다.윤발은 실망에 빠지고, 풍사장을 비롯한 친구들은 윤발을 위로하기 위해 동남아 여행을 계획한다. 동남아 여행 중 우연히 미용 센타에서 일하는 장만옥을 만난 주윤발은 서로의 신분을 속이고 부자집의 아들 딸로 만난다. 여행지에서 돌아온 그들은 홍콩에서 다시 만나 즐거운 시간을 보내게 되나 윤발과 함께 파티에 참석한 장만옥의 아름다움에 반한 재벌 조사장이 그녀를 손에 넣기 위해 계략을 꾸민다. 그러나 윤발은 친구들의 도움으로 그녀를 뺨앗기지 않으려고 사건을 일으킨다. 결국 둘은 서로의 신분을 확인하게 되고 사랑을 확인한다.

Chung's uncle urges Chung to invite Chelsia to come to Hong Kong and he does so. Woo suddenly comes up and requires to cooperate with Chung again but gets refused. Woo's mad then turns to cooperate with another directo Choi. However, she's not happy with Choi and still wants to go back to Chung.

The five members of the band the Wynners are all packing up, ready for a singing tour in USA. Uncle Kau, a boss of a triad, planning to exchange their guitars with narcotics inside with the Wynners', so that their narcotics can be carried to USA. But he fails, as the Wynners has to cancel their plan, for a fire broke out in the night club. Uncle Kau thus dispatches three of his followers Wo, Anny and Jane to steal back the guitars.
