중국대륙에서 열리는 4인 1조 마라톤대회에 각국 선수들이 참가한다. 홍콩에서 온 팀은 훈련을 하다가 한 명이 탈퇴하는 바람에 팀을 맡은 여코치는 고민에 빠진다. 그러던 차에 약장사를 하는 뚱보(정칙사)가 데리고 있는 부시맨 닉소를 발견하고 팀에 합류하자고 제안하고 뚱보는 우승상금 백만달러가 탐이나 수락한다. 마침내 대회는 시작되고 각국 선수들이 출발하는데 팬더곰을 노리는 홍콩의 거부 고연량이 팬더곰 보호구역에 들어가 팬더곰을 생포한다. 이를 보다 못한 홍콩 팀과 뚱보, 코치 그리고 팬더곰을 키우는 금비는 고연량일당에 맞서 싸운다. 하지만 고연량은 결국 팬더곰을 생포해서 차로 운반하고 홍콩팀은 그 일당을 잡기 위해 사력을 다해 추적하다 뜻하지 않게 우승하기에 이른다. 고연량 일당도 중국 공안 당국에 체포된다.
Mark Cheng plays a police officer who disowns his alcoholic brother when he finds employment with one of the gangs – first training dogs for illegal dog fights, then as a bodyguard. His brother is actually working as an undercover cop. In the same gang another bodyguard “Chang” is infatuated with the boss’s daughter. Although he is spared when he attempts to assault her, he later returns to take vengeance on them.

Cindy, an American FBI agent, travels to Hong Kong to investigate a newspaper editor, Ronny Dak, who is suspected of printing counterfeit money using the newspaper’s presses. The American teams up with a rival reporter and her friend Yu, an undercover law enforcer. Cindy’s investigation takes a sharp turn, however, when Yu’s father, the prosecuting lawyer in the counterfeiting case, is kidnapped.
