Joram opens with an idyllic glimpse of rural young love in Jharkhand, Eastern India, and jarringly jumps forward to gritty labourer life in Mumbai. Some years after leaving the tribal village, Dasru and Vaano are working and sleeping at a construction site with their infant daughter, Joram, clinging to their backs. The thriller unravels through flashbacks, portraying the promise of big-city successes shattered by the realities of modernity and power.

For Rani, the caretaker at an abandoned factory, in an almost-abandoned Indian village, it's just an ordinary day, trapped in a struggle for survival between a feckless husband on one hand, and his brother and ruthless sister-in-law on the other. But when she happens upon a group of opportunists seeking to prove the efficacy of their mysteriously-acquired device to a potential buyer, her fortunes seem set to change. All they need is a 'volunteer', and for a small sum of cash she's lured into their machine. While she emerges seemingly unscathed, a violent turn of events makes Rani realize that changing the trajectory of her life might just be matter of a second chance, or a third - or maybe just a little more time.

An anthology that brings five unique creators and filmmakers to tell stories about love, happiness, friendship, new beginnings, second chances and a glimmer of hope - set and filmed in the times of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Started in 2018, the project – comprised of 11 segments by filmmakers from all around the world – reflects on the intertwined relationship between human society and nature that is aggravated by climate change on multiple scales, hinting at possible solutions.

It is a heart-rending but inspiring story of a nine-year old street-smart girl, Jhalki, in search of her seven-year old brother, Babu, who is suddenly thrown into an inhuman world of child labor with no respite from a terminally gloomy, dark and depressing workplace. Armed with an intimate folk tale of a tireless sparrow, her own ingenious efforts and her charming presence of mind, Jhalki manages her search and eventually free her brother, along with thousands of other enslaved children caught in this insidious practice, affecting over 200 million children worldwide.

Rough Book is a hard look at the education system in contemporary India. Though one of the finest systems in the world, the lacunae in the system have created issues. The story is told to us through the eyes of a teacher, Santoshi Kumari, who rallies through a divorce with a corrupt income tax officer to become a teacher of Physics in a school. Her pupils are in the D division - 'D' sarcastically referred to as Duffers by both the students and other teachers. How Santoshi rebels against the system to fight for her students, forms the bulk of the simply told, yet completely thought provoking film. The rebellion of the teacher and her students are internalised to make their point.
