숀은 아버지와 함께 세계 가라테 참피온 경기를 보러간다. 티켓 판매돈을 노리는 쌩슨박사 일당은 그곳에서 난동을 부리고 위기에 처한 숀을 구하려다 숀의 아버지는 무참하게 사살당한다. 그후 숀은 일본 현지로 들어가 가라테를 전수받고 둔갑술법의 일인자 즉 '닌자'가 된다. 그는 차례로 세계대회를 석권하는데, 훔친돈으로 세계 테러에 활용할 세균을 만든 쌩쓴 박사는 약효를 시험하기 위해서 세계 가라테 대회를 주최한다. 이곳에 숀과 그의 친구들이 참가하고 쌩쓴 일당과 아버지의 원수를 갚으려는 숀 일행과의 일대 격전이 벌어진다.
