Having not hit the road for most of the 80s, The Steel Wheels Tour was an astounding return for the Rolling Stones, not least as it was the longest tour they had by that point undertaken. It was also to be their last with Bill Wyman. Steel Wheels Live was recorded towards the end of the band’s 60-date run through the stadiums of North America, in the second half of 1989. The stage and lighting design of The Steel Wheels Tour set the pace for superstar tours as we know them today. Special guest appearances from Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker on this Atlantic City date make this an even more extraordinary document of the band’s return to touring.

The Use Your Illusion Tour was a concert tour by the rock band Guns N' Roses which ran from January 20, 1991 to July 17, 1993. It was not only the band's longest tour, but one of the longest concert tours in rock history, consisting of 198 shows in 31 countries. It was also a source of much infamy for the band, due to riots, late starts, cancellations and outspoken rantings by Axl Rose.
Filmed at the legendary Ritz in 1991, this concert was one of three rehearsal “club” dates for the tour that would ultimately divide the band, and it took place at the 1,400-person-or-so-capacity Ritz. Rose tells the crowd he doesn’t like showing up to rehearsals (shocker) so this was his warmup, but he nevertheless delivers an impressive, throat-shredding performance throughout, even after injuring a leg mid-gig. He even sounds like he’s having fun. He does the Cool Hand Luke “failure to communicate” monologue himself in “Civil War,” which also features Slash riffing on Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return).”

샌프란시스코 강력게 형사 해리 컬러핸은 루 제네로라는 범죄계의 거물을 잡아서 투옥하는데 결정적 역할을 한다. 제네로는 옥중에서 부하들을 조종, 해리는 해치려고 시도하나 번번히 실패한다. 이에 해리도 감옥으로 직접가서 자신이 죽으면 그도 살아남지 못할 것이라고 겁을 줘, 도리어 그의 부하에 의해 원치 않는 보호까지 받게 된다. TV 기자 사만타 워커도 다른 기자들과 마찬가지로 특종을 노려 귀찮아하는 해리에게 자주 접근한다. 그 무렵 유명한 가수 자니 스퀘어즈와 몰리 피셔라는 TV 해설가 등이 살해되는 사건이 발생한다. 수사관이나 기자들은 그러한 유명인 피살 사건의 용의자로 영화 감독인 피터 스완을 지목하고 있다. 죽은 사람을 알아 맞히는 '데드풀'이라는 내기 놀이를 하고 있는 스완은 죽은 그 유명인들을 죽을 사람으로 점치고 있었기 때문이다. 그러나 스완은 결백을 주장하고 해리는 누군가 스완에게 누명을 씌우려고 살인 행각을 하고 있다고 판단한다. 이때 해리가 탄 차가 범인이 원격 조종하는 폭탄장치가 되어있는 고성능의 미니카의 추적을 받는다. 필사적으로 해리를 쫓던 미니카에 의해 결국 함께 타고 있던 중국계 파트너 형사인 쿠안이 부상을 당하는데...

MTV was there, and this was huge, but eventually the MTV guys were like, “We gotta go, we gotta get this going, guys.”Axl’s like, “Fuck it. I’m not going on unless I have my bandanna!” Apparently, he couldn’t find it after tearing apart the little hovel they gave us backstage. Of course the rest of the band was avoiding any eye contact with Axl, preferring to wander off, out of earshot, to do their grumbling.Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. “What’s wrong with you, Axl?” He shrugged me off and continued with his insane tirade. He had all of our roadies looking around for people who had scarves or bandannas. I said, “C’mon, Axl, let’s just go on.”He blurted out, “Fuck that. Fuck you. I need a bandanna or a scarf or I’m not doing this.” Axl finally found a fucking scarf, some powder-blue, girly-looking thing, and the show began.-Steven Adler in his autobiography, "My Appetite for Destruction"
