사형제도가 유지되기 위해서는 결국 이를 집행하는 사람, 즉 다른 사람의 목숨을 끊는 일을 하는 사람이 필요하다. 영화는 네 명의 남자의 사연을 들여다보면서 그들 스스로와 그들의 관계, 그리고 그들의 모든 삶에 영향을 미치게 될 결정에 대해 고찰한다. 영화는 내적 갈등을 겪는 인물들을 영화적으로 시각화하고 있으며, 때때로 보기 불편한 강렬한 장면들이 인상적으로 삽입된다.

On a cold winter’s night in modern Tehran, a couple of young lovers run into a serious problem, and they have just a few hours to come up with a solution. They go from hospital to hospital in search for help, but none of the hospitals will admit the young woman and provide her with the medical attention she desperately requires. While they try hard to find a way to solve the problem, they have to hide what is happening from their parents. Moreover, their relationship is facing a crisis and will suffer dire consequences. Caught between conservative traditions and modern day desires, the couple must face their uncertain future.

Costume Design
Ghobad, Jahan and Nezam, three men in pursuit of a better life, leave home and head for Oslouyeh, one of the richest gas producing regions in the south of Iran. However, the difficult living conditions together with the low salaries oblige them and others to find shelter along the disused sections of the pipeline. The group of workers manage to create an atmosphere of camaraderie despite the difficult conditions with which they are faced.
