너무나 다른 17살의 쌍둥이 제인과 록시! 뭐든 완벽하지 못하면 참지 못하는 모범생 제인과 록 스타를 꿈꾸는 예술가 타입의 록시는 엄마가 돌아가신 후로 물과 기름처럼 겉돌기만 한다.
제인이 옥스퍼드 대학 전액 장학생이 되기 위해 연설 대회를 준비하는 동안 록시는 심플 플랜이란 그룹 뮤직 비디오 촬영장에서 자신의 그룹을 홍보할 계획을 짠다.
연설 대회 당일, 바쁜 아버지 대신 제인을 기차역까지 데려다 주고 학교에 가기로 한 록시는 아버지를 속이고 심플 플랜 밴드의 촬영장에 가기 위해 제인과 같은 뉴욕행 기차를 탄다.
둘이 함께 기차를 타면서부터 생각하지도 않은 사고가 이어지는데...
