Upon the sudden death of President Georges Pompidou, the French right is taken aback. Who will succeed him? It is finally Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, aged 48, elected with the support of Jacques Chirac, who is then appointed Prime Minister. Their alliance seems strong, but it will quickly crack.

Santa Claus tries to outrun a gang of knife-wielding youth. It's one of several vignettes of Palestinian life in Israel - in a neighborhood in Nazareth and at Al-Ram checkpoint in East Jerusalem. Most of the stories are droll, some absurd, one is mythic and fanciful; few words are spoken. A man who goes through his mail methodically each morning has a heart attack. His son visits him in hospital. The son regularly meets a woman at Al-Ram; they sit in a car, hands caressing. Once, she defies Israeli guards at the checkpoint; later, Ninja-like, she takes on soldiers at a target range. A red balloon floats free overhead. Neighbors toss garbage over walls. Life goes on until it doesn't.

미모의 보석 전문 털이범 '로라'는 칸느영화제에 수천만 달러의 보석을 몸에 걸친 모델이 참석할 것이라는 정보를 입수, 현장에 잠입한다. '로라'는 삼엄한 경비를 뚫고, 엄청난 양의 다이아몬드를 훔치는데 성공하지만 동료들을 따돌린 뒤 혼자 파리로 도망친다. 파리에서 미국으로 밀입국을 시도하기 위해 위조 여권단과 거래를 시도하던 '로라'는 낯선 사람들의 추격을 받게 되고, 놀라울 정도로 자신과 똑같은 외모를 지닌 '릴리'라는 여자의 집으로 우연히 숨어 든다. 그러나 '로라'는 바로 눈앞에서 '릴리'의 자살을 목격하고, 어두운 과거로부터 벗어나고 싶었던 '로라'는 완벽한 '릴리' 행세를 하며 미국행 비행기에 몸을 싣는다.
Production Design
The true story of the rise to power and brutal assassination of the formerly vilified and later redeemed leader of the independent Congo, Patrice Lumumba. Using newly discovered historical evidence, Haitian-born and later Congo-raised writer and director Raoul Peck renders an emotional and tautly woven account of the mail clerk and beer salesman with a flair for oratory and an uncompromising belief in the capacity of his homeland to build a prosperous nation independent of its former Belgian overlords. Lumumba emerges here as the heroic sacrificial lamb dubiously portrayed by the international media and led to slaughter by commercial and political interests in Belgium, the United States, the international community, and Lumumba's own administration; a true story of political intrigue and murder where political entities, captains of commerce, and the military dovetail in their quest for economic and political hegemony.

A young French police inspector, Christophe Vade, is assigned to investigate some mysterious murders in a village in the Swiss Alps. His superior is a man named Thurston, who uses some unorthodox methods to fight crime. Vade’s investigations lead him to a wealthy industrialist, Gardella, a dangerous and powerful man.
