17세기 초 영국 마을 한쪽 눈과 털을 지닌 두개골이 발견된다. 마을 판사에게 두개골 발견을 알리지만 그가 도착했을 때 뼈는 보이지 않는다. 한편, 피터는 자신의 약혼녀 로잘린드와 함께 마을로 돌아온다. 혼자 다락방에서 잠을 자던 로잘린드는 소리를 지르는 등 이상행동을 저질러 병원으로 이송 된다. 이송되는 그녀의 손에 털과 날카로운 발톱 무성하게 자란 것을 이상하게 여긴 피터는 그녀가 잤던 다락방에서 잠을 청한다. 그날 밤 피터는 악마에 씌여 자신의 팔을 잘라버리고 판사는 해결책을 찾기 위해 런던으로 떠난다. 사라진 뼈를 발견한 엔젤은 마을 아이들을 이용해 다른 아이들을 죽이고 괴롭힌다. 엔젤을 따르는 아이들 몸엔 악마의 피부가 자라있다. 런던에서 돌아온 판사는 악마를 막기 위한 계획을 세운다.
