Dave Edmunds

Having made his Rockpalast debut in 1980 with Rockpile, Edmunds returned three years later, fronting his solo band, which included Rockpile guitarist Billy Bremner and pianist extraordinaire Geraint Watkins. The event took place at the large-scale Loreley Open-Air Festival in August 1983. The 17 track set features greatest hits (such as the UK #1 'I Hear You Knocking') and fans' favorites from Edmunds' stellar back catalog, including songs contributed by Elvis Costello ('Girls Talk'), Bruce Springsteen ('From Small Things'), Graham Parker ('Crawling from the Wreckage') and Fabulous Thunderbirds ('You Ain't Nothing But Fine').

Documentary which celebrates, over the period covering the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 60s, the phenomenon of the Everly Brothers, arguably the greatest harmony duo the world has witnessed, who directly influenced the greatest and most successful bands of the 60s and 70s - The Beatles, The Stones, The Beach Boys and Simon & Garfunkel to name but a few.

Dave Edmunds --"The Welsh Wizard" - leads his crack band through rocking selections from throughout his storied career. Recorded live at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey. Tracks include: "Crawling From The Wreckage", "Fine, Fine, Fine", "I Hear You Knocking" and more.

Organized by Paul McCartney and the United Nations, these concerts were in response to the 1975-79 Khmer Rouge’s reign, where three million persons perished in Cambodia. During the concerts, McCartney brought three generations of popular musicians together. The older generation included McCartney and the Wings, The Who and members of Procol Harum. The middle generation was represented by Queen and members of Led Zeppelin. Most notably, there was the new generation of mainly New Wavers and Punk Rockers, such as The Pretenders, Elvis Costello and The Attractions, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, The Clash, and The Specials.

Rockpile recorded their installment of the German TV show Rockpalast in January 1980, a few months before the appearance of their lone LP, Seconds of Pleasure, but at that point, the quartet were a fixture on the new wave scene, touring constantly and appearing on solo LPs by their co-leaders Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe. All this is a roundabout way of saying that Rockpile wasn't hurting for material: they drew heavily upon Edmunds' solo records in particular -- 13 of the songs on this 17-song setlist appeared on one of Dave's LPs -- interspersing a few rock & roll oldies along with songs from Nick, plus a showcase for Billy Bremner

This documentary follows the recording process, circa 1978-1979, of Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds & Rockpile. It gives great insight into the process of recording and "getting" the right sound for radio. 1963년 케네디 대통령이 암살되던 해, 짐 맥클레인(데이비드 에섹스 분)은 마이크에게 자신이 이끌던 3류 로큰롤 그룹인 ‘스트레이 캣츠(길 잃은 고양이들)’의 로드매니저를 해달라고 부탁하자, 마이크(애덤 페이스 분)는 즉시 로널드를 매니저로 영입하고, ‘스트레이 캣츠’는 음반회사 사장인 콜린 데이(마티 와일드 분)를 만나면서 승승장구한다. 그러나 뉴욕 공연을 성공적으로 마친 ‘스트레이 캣츠’는 새로운 매니저인 오스틴(래리 해그먼 분)을 만난다. 콜린 데이는 멤버들도 모르게 오스틴에게 ‘스트레이 캣츠’의 지분 중 75%를 팔아넘겼다. 오스틴이 전미 투어를 강행하는 동안 모든 언론의 관심이 짐에게만 집중되자, 그룹 내부에서 갈등이 일어나기 시작한다. 1967년 여름, 버뮤다에서 휴가를 즐기는 동안 짐은 어머니의 갑작스런 죽음 소식을 듣게 되어 즉시 영국으로 떠나지만, 경건해야 될 어머니의 장례식은 몰려드는 수백 명의 팬들 때문에 엉망이 되고, 함께 장례식에 참석한 짐의 여자 친구인 다니엘(아이네스 데스 롱챔스 분)은 짐에게 아내와 아들이 있었다는 사실을 알게 된다. 어머니의 장례식 이후, 그동안 갈등을 겪던 그룹 멤버들은 모두 짐을 떠나고, 짐의 곁엔 다니엘만 남지만, 짐이 여러 여자들과 문란한 성관계를 맺는 장면을 목격한 다니엘도 짐의 곁을 떠난다. 위성 중계로 전 세계에 짐의 콘서트가 방송된 후, 짐은 언론의 관심을 피하기 위해 스페인의 외딴 시골 마을에 있는 성에서 은둔 생활을 시작한다. 2년 뒤, 오스틴은 짐의 복귀를 설득하며 인터뷰를 진행하지만, 결국 짐은 약물 과다 복용으로 인터뷰 도중에 사망한다.
