랜스 엘리엇(Lance Elliot: 코리 헤임 분)은 CIA 요원이다. 그는 LA에 있는 윈버그에게 미연방항공국 비밀서류를 전달하라는 지시를 받고 임무를 수행중에 사건에 휘말리는데... 윈버그는 비밀서류를 관리하는 요원으로 출입용 아이디카드를 제작한다. 그당시 전세계적으로 환경보호에 신경을 써 과학 협회에서 3개월간 환경 조사차 세계 순방에 나선다는 사실이 보도된다. 국제 차관 단체는 세계적으로 불황을 예견, 자신들의 사업에 타격이 올 것을 감지하고 과학자를 태운 비행기를 컴퓨터 바이러스를 이용해 없애려고 한다. 또 그들은 바이러스 제작의 대가인 캐시폿(Cashpot: 웰런스 쇼운 분)에게 6백만불이란 선금을 주고 해결을 요청한다. 캐시폿은 돈에 눈이 멀어 함께 하기로 햇던 동료 루디를 살해하고 윈버그를 찾아가 키 카드를 달래던 찰나에 랜스가 소포를 들고와 윈버그는 키 카드를 랜스에게 준다. 놈들은 모든 수단을 동원하여 키 카드를 빼앗으려 한다. 그들의 계획을 눈치챈 랜스는 비행기 조작을 위해 항공국 직원의 손가락을 잘라 지문을 이용하는 현장을 목격한다. 그리고 캐시폿에게 잡히지만 그들이 네트워크에 침입하여 과학자가 탄 비행기를 폭파하려는 사실을 알게 된다. 그는 우연히 알게된 멜란다와 위기를 모면하고 캐시폿의 컴퓨터 입력코드를 알아내어 체스 게임을 하게 된다. 캐시폿이 비행기에 바이러스를 침투시키려는 순간 랜스의 방해로 체스게임에서 이겨야만 비행기를 폭파할 수 있게 되고 결국 랜스가 승리하는데...
