Peter Helliar has cemented himself as one of Australia's favourite comedians. He's the creator and star of Network Ten's How To Stay Married and brings the laughs to The Project four days a week. Pete has performed stand-up for over twenty five years and makes the difficult business of being funny look dead easy. A stranger on a train said to Pete recently that "everything you believe is true and the rest is bullshit... and vice versa". Yep, the world is loopy. We should talk about it.
O filme conta a história do mestre em manipular sua platéia, Andy Kaufman que conseguia provocar gargalhadas, silêncios profundos, lágrimas e até gritos. Ao convidar o público para ir tomar leite com biscoitos ou desafiar mulheres para lutas mistas, ele se especializou em criar atuações tão reais que até seus amigos mais íntimos nunca estavam certo de onde estava a verdade. The government used to do that for us through propaganda (the positive kind) posters, so taking my cue from the great old posters of World War I and World War II ('Loose Lips Sink Ships,' 'Buy War Bonds,' 'Plant a Victory Garden,' etc.) I commissioned artists to paint the posters our government today should be putting out to help us win this war."
