O filme conta a história do sensitivo diretor cinematográfico Marcus Reed, que trabalha no remake de um "amaldiçoado" filme de horror da década de 20, do cineasta Béla Olt. Mas quando uma imagem fantasmagórica começa a sobressair-se através da lente da câmera durante as filmagens, isto ameaça a realização do longa e a vida de sua equipe.
