In 1997, rap superstars Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie Smalls, The Notorious B.I.G.) were gunned down in separate incidents, the apparent victims of hip hop's infamous east-west rivalry. Nick Broomfield's film introduces Russell Poole, an ex-cop with damning evidence that suggests the LAPD deliberately fumbled the case to conceal connections between the police, LA gangs and Death Row Records, the label run by feared rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight.

Jin is a temporary elementary school teacher on his way to a permanent position when a traumatic event plunges him into a terrifying deep darkness. Three months later, a mysterious man named Kai provokes Jin's memories and feelings regarding the past experience through rapping. Why is Kai obsessed with Jin? How does Jin confront his own "darkness"? Conflicts and battles for men who have been deeply injured inspire healing. And does true love exist on the other side?

The City Of Light, documents the making of the platinum certified The Hard Road and the 2007 ARIA award winning The Hard Road: Restrung albums and the touring undertaken by the group in promoting these albums, allowing an insight into the creative dynamic of the group. The City Of Light incorporates two hours of exclusive interviews and music videos, including extensive live and behind the scenes footage from the The Hard Road: Restrung album launch. This performance saw the Hilltop Hoods perform alongside the 31 piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to a full house at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
