O jovem Billy ganhou um novo bichinho de estimação e com ele três conselhos que nunca... nunca poderia esquecer. 1) não deixe que ele se molhe 2) mantenha-o afastado da luz forte 3) não importa o quanto ele chore, o quanto ele suplique, nunca lhe dê comida após a meia-noite. Prepare-se para muita confusão pois alguma coisa vai dar muito errado.

Se passaram cinco anos desde o incidente dos Gremlins em Kingston Falls. Agora Billy e Kate se mudaram para Nova York. Com o falecimento do velho chinês, Gizmo foge da loja e é pego e levado para o mesmo prédio onde Billy trabalha, quando um funcionário da empresa, ao tentar consertar um bebedouro, acaba molhando Gizmo. Logo uma nova espécie de Gremlins é criada e eles logo aprisionam Gizmo. Kate leva para casa um destes novos Gremlins, pensando que é Gizmo. Quando Billy chega em casa e vê que aquele Mogwai não é Gizmo, conclui logo que algo grave aconteceu e algo infinitamente mais grave acontecerá se os Gremlins se alimentarem após a meia-noite.

Hector Doriani (Paul Naschy) is a stage and screen actor who feels himself living in the shadow of his dead twin brother, Alex Doriani, once a famous star of horror movies. Alex’s young son, Adrian, now lives with Hector in an isolated mansion in the countryside. To keep alive the memory of his father, the boy imagines himself visited by the spirit of the dead man, incarnated in a series of classic horror characters from the past. Eric, Alex’s former butler, now also works for Hector. His main role is to locate and bring to the mansion a series of women who are paid large sums of money by Hector to take part in various sadistic sex games. To complicate matters even further, the games always seem to end with the women getting slaughtered in various gruesome ways by a black gloved, masked killer. Also on hand is horror diva Caroline Munro, as Hector’s housekeeper and cook, who is being pursued by a local priest with whom she once had a much-regretted affair.
