The Old Maid's Valentine (1900)

Um vagabundo (Charles Chaplin) impede um homem rico (Harry Myers), que está bêbado, de se matar. Grato, ele o convida até sua casa e se torna seu amigo. Só que ele esquece completamente o que aconteceu quando está sóbrio, o que faz com que o vagabundo seja tratado de forma bem diferente. Paralelamente, o vagabundo se interessa por uma florista cega (Virginia Cherrill), a quem tenta ajudar a pagar o aluguel atrasado e a recuperar a visão. Só que ela pensa que seu benfeitor é, na verdade, um milionário.

A assistente social está chegando à casa do Gru para verificar se ela é adequada para crianças. Margo, Edith, Agnes e os Minions decidem fazer uma reforma na casa para torna-la segura para crianças e assim evitar a volta ao orfanato.

Em seu primeiro longa-metragem, Mickey, Donald e Pateta são três amigos que trabalham como faxineiros e dividem o mesmo sonho: tornar-se mosqueteiros. Uma grande mudança começa quando Capitão Bafo, o ganancioso comandante dos mosqueteiros, e sua cruel tenente Clarabela decidem usar os três amigos em um plano para conquistar o reino da Princesa Minnie. Apesar de não se parecerem nada com heróis, Mickey, Donald e Pateta – munidos de sua grande amizade e companheirismo – provarão que tudo é possível quando se trabalha em equipe: "um por todos e todos por um"!

Carlitos entra bêbado em um hotel, onde encontra Mabel. Juntos, eles causam a maior bagunça entre os hóspedes. Mabel tenta se enconder em um dos quartos e é descoberta por uma esposa ciumenta.

Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim), agente imobiliário, viaja até os Montes Cárpatos para vender um castelo no Mar Báltico cujo proprietário é o excêntrico conde Graf Orlock (Max Schreck), que na verdade é um milenar vampiro que, buscando poder, se muda para Bremen, Alemanha, espalhando o terror na região. Curiosamente quem pode reverter esta situação é Ellen (Greta Schröder), a esposa de Hutter, pois Orlock está atraído por ela.

Mickey, sua inseparável Minnie e seus amigos, o cavalo Horacio e a vaca Clarabelle se divertem em uma carroça de feno, até que o arqui-inimigo de Mickey, João Bafo de Onça, aparece para acabar com a diversão na estrada.

Tom e Jerry entram em uma competição de carros chamada de "Super Corrida" em busca do grande prêmio: uma maravilhosa mansão de sonhos. Pilotando carros envenenados que se adaptam a qualquer superfície (terra, mar ou ar) eles competirão pelo mundo, passando por cidades e locais famosos, deixando caos pelo caminho.

Quando descobre que os Bergens não têm mais feriados em seu calendário, a eternamente otimista Poppy, rainha dos Trolls, procura o auxílio de Branch e de toda a turma em uma missão deliciosamente estranha de consertar algo que os Bergens nem acham que está ruim! Victor (Charlie Tahan) adora fazer filmes caseiros de terror, quase sempre estrelados por seu cachorro Sparky. Quando o cão morre atropelado, Victor fica triste e inconformado. Inspirado por uma aula de ciências que teve na escola, onde um professor mostra ser possível estimular os movimentos através da eletricidade, ele constrói uma máquina que permita reviver Sparky. O experimento dá certo, mas o que Victor não esperava era que seu melhor amigo voltasse com hábitos um pouco diferentes.

Margo, Edith e Agnes encontram um caminhão de sorvete. Então as três vão atrás do caminhão, mas Agnes cai quando tenta pedalar até o caminhão. Os Minions, vendo ela tão chateada com isso, decidem construir para ela uma motocicleta temática, com Unicórnios. Agnes sai para um pequeno passeio pela cidade.

Um Minion, vendo muitos donos passearem com seus cachorros, quer um filhote também. Ele tenta arrumar uma joaninha, mas não dá certo. Felizmente o UFO que expulsa a joaninha, de alguma forma, concorda em se tornar um Bichinho de Estimação.

Dennis sonha em ter um cachorrinho e, claro que o Drac não resiste a este pedido.

Após os eventos de "Monstros vs Alienígenas", Susan Murphy e os monstros agora trabalham em conjunto com o governo norte-americano em ações especiais. Quando uma presença alienígena é detectada na cidade natal de Susan o time é convocado para investigar o caso. Toda a investigação segue normalmente, cada porta e janela da cidade é vasculhada. Mas quando chega o Halloween, as abóboras revelam-se mutantes alienígenas: alteradas, iniciam um plano para dominar o planeta. Os Monstros entram em combate na tentativa de acabar com esse plano perverso!

The boy deposits the Rube's bag and umbrella, turns a somersault, and vanishes through the door. The Rube then removes his hat and coat and places them upon the table. They immediately vanish. He then blows out the gas. The scene then instantly changes to a funeral procession, headed by Reuben's hearse, and followed by the carriages of his country friends. Strictly up-to-date picture. A jovial looking man is seated nearest the window of a restaurant. He has just finished his meal and the waiter brings a glass of beer, and when he places the glass upon the table, lo, a little sailor boy about six inches high appears from the foam, and climbing down the side of the glass, proceeds to dance a sailor's hornpipe on the table.

A cleverly conceived picture of a little boy and girl with building blocks. The little girl has erected a pretty structure, which the boy proceeds to demolish with pokes of his fingers. When the demolition of the house is completed, the film is shown in reverse, and the little building comes back to its original form in a most marvellous manner.

The biggest English comedy hit of the year. The scene is laid on an English estate at the edge of a pond. A couple of laborers discover, protruding from the water a pair of female legs. They hasten to the rescue, secure a bench and a long plank so as to get out over the water to the point where the legs are sticking up. Just as they complete their preparations a policeman runs up and insists on going out to the rescue of the female in distress.

Shows a young black boy and a white boy in a lively set-to. They finally collapse in the centre of the ring after they have fought themselves to a stand-still. The referee proceeds to count them both out, and the seconds empty buckets of water on the fighters.

A woman riding a train must contend with the unwelcome advances of a male passenger.

An old maid is walking about the studio while the photographer is getting his camera ready. She first looks at a hanger, which immediately falls from the wall, not being able to stand her gaze. Then she looks at the clock, and her face causes it to fall to the floor with a crash. She then walks over to the mirror, which suddenly cracks in several places. The photographer then poses her. Just as he is to press the button the camera explodes with a great puff of smoke, completely destroying the camera and demolishing the studio. The picture finishes up with the old maid tipping back in her chair and losing her balance, displaying a large quantity of fancy lace goods.

In the background, five fans lean on the ropes looking into the ring. The referee is to the left; like the fans, he hardly moves as two fighters swing roundhouse blows at each other. Mike Leonard, in white trunks, is the aggressor; in black, Jack Cushing stands near the edge of the ring, warily pawing the air as Leonard comes at him. A couple of punches land, but the fighters maintain their upright postures.

Poor Uncle Josh is trying to get to sleep, but being constantly bedevilled by a fellow in red long underwear with horns. A short early trick editing film using a stationary camera much more valuable for its historical, rather than entertainment value.

The boys dance to Grandpa's banjo playing, then indicate that he can't equal their skill. Grandpa gets up and performs an intricate step while still playing the banjo.

Filmed in 35mm and in black and white, this short silent film was produced by the English film pioneer R. W. Paul, and directed by Walter R. Booth and was filmed at Paul's Animatograph Works. It was released in November 1901. As was common in cinema's early days, the filmmakers chose to adapt an already well-known story, in this case A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, in the belief that the audience's familiarity with the story would result in the need for fewer intertitles. It was presented in 'Twelve Tableaux' or scenes. The film contains the first use of intertitles in a film.

At the beginning of the scene Romeo in his gondola sings to Juliet a sentimental song, then goes away. Hardly has he departed when the colonnade falls to pieces, disclosing the devil. Juliet, frightened, runs to the window and calls Romeo. The latter attempts to enter and protect his fiancée, but at a gesture from the devil the window is instantly covered with a grating and Romeo makes frantic efforts to break it. The devil begins to dance a wild dance before Juliet, who is beside herself from terror. The devil gradually becomes the size of a giant (a novel effect). Juliet implores the statue of Madonna, which becomes animated, descends from its pedestal, and stretching out its arms orders the devil to disappear. (Méliès Catalog)
