Sinopse

Baseado no best-seller e premiado romance de Irvin Yalom, o filme “Quando Nietzsche Chorou” conta a história de um encontro fictício entre o filósofo alemão Friedrich Nietzsche (Armand Assante) e o médico Josef Breuer (Bem Cross), professor de Sigmund Freud (Jamie Elman). Nietzsche é ainda um filósofo desconhecido, pobre e com tendência suicidas. Breuer passa por uma má fase após ter se envolvido emocionalmente com uma de suas pacientes, Bertha (Michal Yannai), com quem cria uma obsessão sexual e fica completamente atormentado. Breuer é procurado por Lou Salome (Kather Winnick), amiga de Nietzsche, com quem teve um relacionamento atribulado. Ela está empenhada em curá-lo de sua depressão e desespero, assim pede ao médico que o trate com sua controversa técnica da “terapia através da fala”. O tratamento vira uma verdadeira aula de psicanalise, onde os dois terão que mergulhar em si próprios, num difícil processo de auto-conhecimento. Eles então descobrem o poder da amizade e do amor.

Fallen City
Shubei town, southeast China, the present day. Five years after he fled with RMB 800,000 from a bank robbery, Liu Chuan returns incognito to the town. Policeman Wang Laoshi, who was on duty at the time of the robbery and was demoted for letting Liu escape, is working in the same district police station to which he was transferred after the robbery and still keeps an eye on Liu. By chance, Liu stays in some small lodgings in Wang's district where Qin Xiaosong, a psychology graduate who's run away from her domineering parents, is staying. Next day, Wang spots Liu in the street and gives chase, finally handcuffing him in a deserted warehouse. At that moment, the town is devastated by an earthquake and the building collapses. Newly arrived in town Nat and Gabe accept a dinner invitation from the volatile Hungarian Helene and her boorish husband Sasha.
