The Bus Driver (1982)

Bronx, 1960. Um garoto de nove anos (Francis Capra), filho de um motorista de ônibus (Robert De Niro), testemunha um assassinato cometido pelo principal gângster do bairro (Chazz Palminteri), mas quando a polícia o interroga ele não delata o criminoso. A partir de então surge uma amizade entre os dois, que seu pai não aprova, pois não quer ver o filho envolvido com um criminoso. Mas através dos anos este vínculo cresce e algo, sendo impossível de ser impedido ou controlado.

Na cidade de Paterson, em Nova Jersey, um pacato motorista de ônibus local (Adam Driver), vira um personagem conhecido por se destacar em uma arte diferente da condução de veículos: o rapaz é também um poeta.
