A Cuban Fight Against Demons (1972)

Em 1958, logo após a mudança para Cuba com seus pais, Katey Mille (Romola Garai), uma garota 18 anos, desafia seu círculo social ao encontrar-se com Javier (Diego Luna), um garçom cubano apaixonado pela dança.

Che Guevara (Gael García Bernal) era um jovem estudante de Medicina que, em 1952, decide viajar pela América do Sul com seu amigo Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna). A viagem é realizada em uma moto, que acaba quebrando após 8 meses. Eles passam a seguir viagem através de caronas e caminhadas, conhecendo novos lugares e pessoas. Em Machu Pichu a dupla conhece uma colônia de leprosos e questiona a validade do progresso econômico da região, que privilegia apenas uma pequena parte da população.

O longa aborda a vida de Reynaldo Arenas, desde sua infância pobre até seu exílio em Nova York, passando pelo horror e preconceito sofrido ainda em Cuba, pelo fato de ser homossexual.

An American professional gambler named Jack Weil decides to visit Havana, Cuba to gamble. On the boat to Havana, he meets Roberta Duran, the wife of a revolutionary, Arturo. Shortly after their arrival, Arturo is taken away by the secret police, and Roberta is captured and tortured. Jack frees her, but she continues to support the revolution.

A British mercenary arrives in pre-Revolution Cuba to help train the corrupt General Batista's army against Castro's guerrillas while he also romances a former lover now married to an unscrupulous plantation owner.
