Sinopse
No Vietnã, 1954, um pelotão francês isolado atrás de linhas inimigas tenta voltar. É conduzido pelo inexperiente e idealista Subtenente Torrens, e pelo ajudante Willsdorf, um veterano da Werhmacht na Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Em 1954, durante a guerra na Indochina, a 317 Seção composto por Laosianos deve abandonar o pequeno posto de Luong Ba na fronteira do Laos e ir até Lao Tsai a 150 Km para o sul, através da floresta hostil e das forças de Viet Minh. O pelotão é controlado por quatro oficiais franceses e sargentos, incluindo o jovem tenente Torrens que é assistido por Adjutant Willsdorff, um veterano alemão da Segunda Guerra Mundial.
