Betty has become engaged, for her father’s sake, with a hard working and kind young man, Kostas, who works at a store selling electrical appliances that belongs to Betty’s father, Mr. Periklis. The latter values Kostas and truly wants to make him his son-in-law. Kostas saves the life of a sensitive girl, Mary, who tries to commit suicide because her English lover deserted her. Later on, he is persuaded to impersonate a rich Englishman in order to help Mary deal with her father, Mr. Kyriakos, who is trying to force her to marry someone against her will.

An old couple reviews their lives together, from the first time they met and got married since the present, through good and bad moments...

The Adamastos family consists of the father, Major Adamastos, the mother, Captain Eugenia and their daughter, Soldier Vicky. The father defies women in the army while the daughter falls in love with a second lieutenant justifying her father's opinion, but the mother manages to highlight the all-female Company's work.

A seamstress, Rena, unable to deliver a dress due to the strict safety measures of the hotel in which a famous football player is staying, gets really upset and hits him. Witnesses to the incident believe that she is his mother. Soon, several major representatives of other football teams beg her to persuade him to sign a contract with them.

Rena, a decadent folk singer from Corfu, lives in Athens with her bouzouki musician brother Stratos, while her cousin Pepita di Corfu, is a major prima donna of popular tunes and lives in Rome with her fiancé Antonio. The shipowner Lampros Fokas, who had met Pepita years ago in Naples, invites her to a reception. She is unable to go, but a foxy agent presents Rena in her place. At first, the ruse is successful, and Fokas is charmed by Pepita-Rena. The things are getting complicated, however, when Pepita comes to Greece on vacation.

Kosmas has his views on women challenged when an old friend and his wife visit him.

To make some easy money, Stamatis rents Chroni's house to his womanizer boss Soultanoglou but also to his other boss's wife, Dora, who decided to cheat on her husband ... So, Chroni's house turns into a double love nest for cheating couples, without him having any clue.

A cynical young man, Giorgos, who believes that in this life you need to steer clear of principles and attachments, clashes with his father, captain Manolis and abandons the management of the family’s shipyard. Determined to build his life again, he gets a job as a waiter in a large hotel and believes that he can also get rich by taking advantage of the sorrows and the loneliness of the wealthy.
