Am grauen Strand, am grauen Meer (1980)

Quando o fechamento de uma fábrica ameaça uma pequena cidade de Rust Belt, um trabalhador de fábrica mais velho continua indo ao seu antigo emprego todos os dias, apesar do desligamento. Sua decisão peculiar tem um efeito profundo em toda a comunidade, embora suas ações produzam um resultado que ninguém jamais esperou.

Kunju Gounder is a respected village chief, he seeks his missed son. Panju Gounder, worked as a servant in Kunju Gounder's house and married his sister. Now, Panju Gounder tries hard to be respected by the villagers. Raja and his friend are fraud. Raja attempts to make himself out to be Kunju Gounder's son and falls in love with Kunju Gounder's daughter Sinthamani. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Pappu Pisharadi, an ageing man, is constant hunt for his son, who left him 16 years back, which is when he is brought to a hospital where he meets Dr. Seetha Priyan, who promise to help him find his son.
