Alice in Chains returned to the popular music eye with this live, acoustic performance in New York on 10th April, 1996. After an absence from the stage of three years the band performed a 13-song set, including 'Heaven Beside You', 'Rooster' and 'Would?'.

MTV Unplugged é o primeiro extended play (EP) e álbum ao vivo da cantora e compositora norte-americana Mariah Carey, lançado nos Estados Unidos em 2 de junho de 1992 pela Columbia Records. After airing more than 100 MTV Unplugged specials, MTV wanted to bring back the series, in order to expose them to a younger generation. The channel recruited various mainstream and popular artists to perform as part of the series, including Perry, who particularly expressed interest in the idea as it would allow her to showcase herself as an artist and share the stories behind her songs. The extended play includes rearrangements of five songs from Perry's album One of the Boys (2008), a previously unreleased original song and a cover version of a song by Fountains of Wayne. Alongside the audio disc, the album includes a DVD with the video recording of her performance and an exclusive interview.

Apesar de muito criticado por não esbanjar técnica em tempos que os virtuosos estavam no auge, o Poison nunca decepcionou principalmente ao vivo. A sua formação clássica é bastante competente e não costuma pecar nas apresentações – constante que domina até os dias de hoje, diga-se de passagem. Esse fator positivo fica notável neste registro especial.

MTV Unplugged é o primeiro álbum ao vivo da cantora e compositora mexicana Julieta Venegas. This video is the MTV Unplugged performance which was recorded in New York on 5 March 1991. The difference between the version screened on MTV and this release however, is the inclusion of an additional song and interview. Whereas the MTV show concentrated on pre-'Soul Cages' songs, on this release you get excellent performances of 'Why Should I Cry For You' and 'The Wild Wild Sea'. As proved to be the case with the VH1 Storytellers show, Sting enjoyed himself so much doing the acoustic set, that the following month he did a similar set in his home town of Newcastle at the tiny Buddle Arts Centre.
